La Liga - 2014/15

Morning edition of the spanish futsal league

Have madrid got a mid week game to rest players for or will they keep going for 10?

This is pathetic. Granada should be unbelievably ashamed of this, terrible professionalism.

It just always seems that at least a third of Barca/Madrid games are a procession. Give me the PL with all it's flaws and lack of quality any day.

Maybe is the moment to give some minutes to Jesé and Chicharito

I know that they don't, but it really seems like Madrid win every other game by 5+ goals.

Well, considering they hadn't scored more than 2 goals in a league game since January, that is indeed as you say not correct. Granada are sure to go down, lowest scoring team in the league and only promoted Córdoba have won less games.

Puts tinfoil hat on

I bet this morning kick off and this awful performance by Granada´s defence has something to do with Asian mafia and betting issues

Yeah, teams never get thrashed in good ol' England.

Spare a thought for poor ol' Benzema who just got subbed off... 4th season in a row with at least 20 goals and 10 assists in all competitions.

I thought you Liverpool fans didnt see yourselves as part of England? Ba dum ta tish.

But no, I didn't say that at all. The point is the lack of competitiveness. For all the furore you could make about how good Madrid are here, this game is a perfect showcase for how much work is needed in Spain to bring the standard of the other sides up. It's pathetic, people will lose interest in the long run - I have already. No interest in watching the Harlem Globetrotters and proclaiming it a competition - even if they do have one other genuine contender.

This also happens in England,Madrid could have scored 6 to Liverpool in C.L.The standard level is ok,the thing is Madrid and Barsa are a step over the rest.Madrid had a mini crisis, they needed a good game and Granada is being poor later

Sunderland got beaten 8-0 by Southampton.

Real Madrid had lost 4 or 5 out of their last 9 before today. It's ridiculous how people suddenly pipe up with this uncompetitive crap but completely ignore the games that prove them wrong.

Could be 9 already if it wasn´t for those two Ronaldo miss chances

Well, this is one of the worst performances I've seen by a team in La Liga since... they lost 6-0 at Camp Nou in the beginning of the season :D but seriously, it's not even about the amount of goals they conceded, but just the complete lack of effort after the 1-0.

They've got money on Ronaldo ending the season as top scorer.

Gooooooooal Granada. Comeback begins

Just caught the score on the BBC website. This is why I don't want any La Liga match that doesn't involve two of Real/Atletico/Barcelona, and after El Classicrap 2015, I doubt I'll even bother with those in the future.

Hmm Valência, Sevilla or Villareal are good examples of teams that play good football. Certainly better than most english teams.

Part of the problem in a game like this is that goal difference doesn't matter, so Spanish teams don't do damage limitation. They just start thinking about the next game and hope that their opponents will get bored. Or the forwards chase a consolation goal and 15 seconds of fame - like just then.

Granada have a midweek home game against Celta that they may hope to get a point from and then a crucial 6-pointer sort of game with Almeria next weekend.

Jesus. Talk about knee jerk.

Your loss. Ignorance really.

And to think apart from his first goal and his off the ball effort and running, he's barely done anything particularly outstanding with the ball (outside of the obvious).

Some people complain that the defending in La Liga is terrible (and by La Liga they mean the clásico because that's all they really watch, let's be honest), then we have a clásico where on both teams defenders stand out as MOTMs and then those people complain about that.

Stat - this is the 15th game this season that either Madrid or Barca have scored 5 goals or more in a La Liga game. That's more than 25% of all games played by the two teams.

In over 300 games played in England this season involving 600 teams, only 7 teams have scored 5 or more in a game (City once, Arsenal once, Chelsea twice, Spurs once, Southampton once, Leicester once).

By no means is there a majority of games in Spain that are not competitive, but there are definitely far too many. It's tiresome from a neutral perspective - I suppose it's different if you're a Barca/Madrid fan.
