La Liga - 2014/15

Nope, I'm pretty certain we'll be dropping points today. Or Ronaldo will have to play like a man possessed to make up for half our first team being out of this game.
Who is out and who are the replacements?

Marcelo, Ramos and Pepe are all out I think, so that's basically our whole defence. Carvajal is returning to the team though, so Ancelotti might move Arbeloa to LB with Nacho and Varane as our CB's. A bit worrying.

Modric and now James are also out so in midfield we'll probably go with Kroos, Isco and one of Illarra/Khedira.

Front 3 BBC, hope they won't waste too many chances.

Aye that'll be it. Coentrão an outside chance if he's fit (was he in the squad)? Otherwise it picks itself apart from the defensive mid slot.

That's true but Madrid haven't beat Atlético in 5 games so I'm not sure how relevant the Barça results.
I just saw that rock solid defensive unit missing in those games. Without that, they didn't seem to be anywhere near the same force.

to be fair, the replacements are pretty great. Your team is still much stronger than atletico's.

Real Madrid seem to have Barca's Atletico complex from last season. I expect a draw or Atletico win.

feck, forgot we also have our new boy Silva now. I wonder if he can make his first few minutes.

And yes, apparently Coentrao is back and will play, which is (a bit of) a relief.

Yeah but they have the deadly weapon that is Torres though. :nervous:

Khedira and Coentrão start, rest of the team fairly obvious. Atlético pretty much as expected too, Miranda ahead of Giménez.

Moyá; Juanfran, Miranda, Godín, Siqueira; Tiago, Gabi, Arda, Koke; Griezmann y Mandzukic.
Vs
Casillas; Carvajal, Varane, Nacho, Coentrao; Khedira, Kroos, Isco; Bale, Benzema y Cristiano

Time for Carlo to crawl out of Siemone's pocket.

Surely that's a foul? Not a penalty but Coentrão was pulling Arda when they were outside the box...

Anyone watching a bein stream? This Geordie commentator isn't half grating my ears. Turan is "as tricky as a squirrel on a telephone wire," apparently. Feck me.

Who's the hilarious commentator on Bein Sports?!? I have him on my Stream! "As tricky as a squirrel on the telephone wire" was the first thing I heard when I switched on

I think Ray Hudson is brilliant but he grinds many peoples gears. Rather his over the top inventiveness than the same tired old cliches in my opinion. I think he loves football more than anyone in the universe.

If ever there was an appropriate phrase to describe a human being, this is it for Ray Hudson. It's entertaining at least.

Isco gets a free kick because he stops and asks for one. Nice...

Every mistake he makes brings them closer to DDG. :(
