Kylian Mbappe | PSG

Far from it, he didn't even want to commit to PSG for longer than a couple of years even with the crazy wage he's on, no way he signs up to move to manchester.
We might not be Madrid but we're a hell of a lot more prestigious than PSG. Qatar will probably double his wages and buy him an island also.

I'm starting to think he is never leaving PSG

He is supposedly on 200m+ a year

Which club can afford to pay one player that amount of money without him turning into a liability in the squad building process?

Even PSG with their unlimited funds are struggling and have had to rely on a lot of free transfers.

He's currently wasting his prime away in Ligue 1 and although his World Cup performances alone are enough for him to be rated by the entire football planet you can't help but feel he won't be able to truly dominate the next decade of football if he doesn't move to a more challenging league.

Yeah he won't leave. He seems to be happy to stay there and smash all L1 records, amassing riches in the process. Qatar and to an extent Macron have got a lot of skin in the game and won't let him leave.

If PSG rebuild somewhat sensibly, with a better support cast for him (the trio with Neymar and Messi was a stupid idea), he could still be enough for at least one CL in a season where things go their way. I don't really like him as an individual, but he's a sensational player.

Purely for entertainments sake and for the love of the sport, I do hope he eventually leaves PSG. It’s such a shame if we never get to see him in a better league.

PSG must be such a depressing club to play for… He just scored his 50th goal of the season (including some truly brillant individual masterpieces). He is going to win the golden boot for the fifth season in row. He got the golden boot of the WC with a hat trick in the final. And still most are considering his season a bit underwhelming…

Clearly a better player than Haaland and probably the best in the world at the moment. But not generally acknowledged as such because he plays for PSG.

I don't think it is that clear. At least at club level, they are pretty much in the same bracket so far. And Haaland is about to win his club a historic -albeit illegitimate- treble.

This said, his first goal yesterday was absolutely classy.

He's not about to win his club anything. He's been conspicuous by his absence (save for some non-go-ahead goals) as Gundogan, Silva, KDB etc have stepped up in the big games at the end of the season. It's very much a team effort, what City have done. Yes, he's scored a phenomenal amount of goals but City without him have done pretty much everything they've done this season. He could help them over the line in the CL but they've reached the CL final before and Pep outthought himself and he's apparently learnt from that.

If you watch both play, it's pretty clear to me that Mbappe is a better footballer. But then, the debate rages on so maybe it's not that clear and some people just like counting.

There are quite a few players who are better than Mbappe if your only critera is how good they look when you watch them rather than G+A numbers.

Need to see him in the league to fully compare him to the yeti.

But with FFP there is no chance they will both be playing in Manchester.

If our new owners have a big ambition they'd sign him and settle Haaland vs Mbappe once and for all in Manchester.
Hint: Mbappe is a better player.

Mbappe nearly won a World Cup final single handedly, I personally don’t see Haaland at his level as an all round player.
Both are great goalscorers though.

I really hope to see him at Utd soon, hopefully the combination of Qatari takeover and La Liga descending intoa racist hellhole convinces him to come here.

You can't have watched him enough then. Hes basically uncontainable with his combination of pace, power and technique. I went to see PSG live last month and I haven't seen a better player live since a young Ronaldo. Every time he got the ball, it was electric.

You can hope ofcourse, but it's been clear that the real young stars aim higher than United.

100% Real bound if he moves.

That’s the same guy who thinks Cherki is a bigger talent amongst others, Mbappes combination of technical ability and pace is rarely seen.

He’s verter than Haaland. That’s for dure.

Some people need to see it in the mighty EPL? As was with Haaland, to see how much of a farmers league can be? Haha.

This new rivalry is even worse than Messi vs Ronaldo. Two completely different players with different skillsets and different tasks on the pitch.

It's like comparing Henry to RVN or Inzaghi. I don't know how you can label one of them as "better", when there's no real way to compare them.

Mbappé should be compared to Vinicius, Rashford and Leao.

That's not my criteria but it's interesting you interpreted what I said in that way and then also intimated that it is legitimate to judge players solely by 'goals and assists'.When I said 'watch them play', I meant 'watch them actually play football and assess what they can do and what they can't do, what actions they actually perform in a game and what they contribute across the board.

Henry was compared to RVN all the time

No one here in France agrees with that consensus.
No one thinks he's technically elite or an extraordinary dribbler.
Even here a player like Vinicius would be considered superior G/A output aside.

I have no idea where the myth that Mbappe is as complete as the likes of Messi/Neymar used to be comes from but that's simply not true;

What the feck do you know what i want? i just dont want Glazer 2.0 INEOS that are business men that dont have a clue ttto run a football club like tttthey have shown with Lausanne AND Nice, but they speak big words. Or "spoken like a true Greenwashing INEOS fan".

Anyone that thinks that we'll sign Mbappé and the likes with Qatar whilst we sign Weghorst or other cheap options with Ineos is clueless.
