Kylian Mbappe | Merci.

Not too surprised, this guy publicly turned down Madrid and Perez. He's a savage.

Pay his stupid wages for a year before he goes to Madrid and then get Kane on a free next summer

Surely this is all part of a blatant money laundering/influence buying scam on the part of the Saudis and Qataris. Easy way to move hundreds of millions of dollars while helping with the sportswashing goals.

Considering all that has happened in the world already this decade.....its nuts that somethng n football can compare to some of these things.

Who on earth would have ever predicted there is a chance Mbappe goes to Saudi League for just one season and they pay around £300m for this.

I partly get the bigger picture of the publicity and tracton bringing the best player in the world right now (unlike ROnaldo) brings and that there be more to this far more sinister....but just purely as a football transfer and deal this whole saga absolutely stinks on all sdes.

1) Mbappe is obviously a faboulous player but never liked him. He goes beyong the Frech arrogance, seen signs even in the world cup of cockiness and mocking from him and the way he has played his employers for a huge payday when he is already earning more money than his grandchildern will ever need show pure selfish greed

2) No sympathy for his club though, they have thrown bucket loads of money at several players to try and buy the champions league with no loyalty themselves to there players or managers. Hilarious they have faled every season to get partcularly close and long may it continue

3) It doesnt matter how much money these people have £300m from the Saudis on transfers and wages for just one season, that is absolutely obscene, they really are working towards destroying the game

A fe weeks ago far erlier in this thread, I was all for signing Mbappe if feasible, he is after all the best player in the world and at the time 4years out of him and a huge sale to Madrid at his peak, wouldnt be so much mor ecostly than Kane who ahs no resale value.......totally changed my opinion, a complete circus that it looks like we are staying clear off....and I am glad

It's amazing that people seriously come up with things like that.

Mbappe is better than CR7 at the same age, but has stalled in the past year.

Only at Madrid or in the PL can he continue to improve week in week out.

Even if you consider him less good than prime Ronaldo or Messi, nothing wrong with trying to make the most of his potential by seeking a new challenge.
That doesn’t mean shit and it’s comparing apples with oranges. Ronaldo played in the most competitive leagues and was scoring 50 goals a season at the highest level. It’s not his fault his international team mates weren’t good enough to reach a major final with him carrying them.

Yeah right

If that offer is legit he’s off to Saudi there’s no way around it.

There’s not a player on the planet turning down 13m a week for 12 months.

Nonsense when you have money you can't be bought unless you want too.

I don't Mbappe wanting to play in the Saudi League no matter what the offer is

I think he absolutely would if he’d already been at Madrid two years and had bombed. The problem is he’s got this dream move in mind and moving the Saudi basically scuppers his chances of ever getting out and breaking some major European records.

Like he couldn’t be bought when he signed the new deal at PSG when it looked for all the world that he was off to Madrid?

Made himself a player-manager-director didn’t he?

Mbappe can’t be bought….he’s the biggest money grabber in the game that’s why he’s still playing in France

I never understood the Chinese Super League model either, the money they’re giving to players doesn’t correlate to a feasible return on their investment.

They’re literally burning money and honestly, I think these exuberant shows of wealth just puts their human rights record in the spotlight even more.

To any sane person I hope it does but it won't stop them and they do genuinely have enough to keep burning it for a fair few years yet.

The Chinese league was always beholden to the central government in that it was individual billionaires but their money could be disappeared in an instant (exactly what happened) whereas this will all be PIF funded and Salman the prince has made it his mission to turn Saudi into the next Dubai for tourists so it's not gonna stop for a good while yet I don't think. I genuinely think they'll go all out and have a proper Super League and the world will unfortunately hold their nose and eat it all up cause we wanna see the best players play each other much like they've done with the whole LIV/PGA fiasco. A Super League in Saudi doesn't move the needle versus one in Europe, it's too far removed for us to care all that much - bit like identifying with Ukrainians as Europeans versus not giving a shit about Iraqis/Afghans in similar circumstances.

The only hope for me at least is that it causes football in general to seriously look at itself and realise just how far gone it is. The economics of the game have been on the cusp of eating itself up for a good while now, this Saudi business just hastens the process I think. Maybe we get something good back from it when it disappears up it's own arse.

I thought people used laughing emojis when they said something that's supposed to be funny.

You can call him the biggest money grabber if he loves to Saudi not for staying at his hometown club to play with Messi and Neymar and complete in the champions League

Offer PSG 150 pound and tell him that we will allow him to move to Real if Real submit a bid of 180 million. We get 1 year rental just covering wages for Mbappe. We also sign Hoijund as an backup as well. That will be a perfect scenario. If only we had new owner to fund this.

Agreed. He obviously stuck around the extra 2 years in Paris to get the signing on bonus and loyalty bonus for the second year. He's probably looking for a big singing bonus from Madrid too which explains why he's looking to leave on a free.

There's a weird cult around Mbappe were journalists keep insisting he's humble and smart but his career decisions suggest he thinks like an average footballer with an above average desire for money, not the "old head on young shoulders" that sycophantic journos keep peddling him as.

Or the massive bonus he got for staying? You can’t seriously think he’s at psg for the love of the game? That’s worth a laughing emoji itself.

I can't help but feel there's something dodgy about PSG's treatment of Mbappe here from a HR point of view, either extend your contract, which still has 12 months to go, or get out now isn't exactly a fair way to treat an employee is it?

Yes he has been paid an obscene amount of cash by them but at the same time surely employment law still stands?

Spent all his career in a farmers league... he'll be found out at Madrid. found out to be not quite capable of 50 goals/season

Parents…agents

Anyone ever think that maybe he’s had enough of Gulf money controlling his life and he just wants to feck off to Spain as soon as he can? That’s his dream. I still think Madrid and PSG will find a solution
No every Gulf penny is the same. He will go from gas to oil . :wenger:

Ben Arfa sued PSG over this kind of shenanigans and won, but the amount of money was low.

I think generally no one in football wants to involve the authorities because the whole system's already kinda dodgy.

PSG don't care, for reasons best left unsaid.

You have to think he's got more ambition than the Saudi league. PSG was bad enough and he has stagnated there but if he goes to the Middle East he will be forgotten about. If he cares about football in the slightest surely he will hold out for Madrid.

The Saudis earn like $1billion from oil per day. EVERYDAY. They have also $400+ billion in cash reserves.

So I hardly think they are looking at this as a money laundering scheme. It's how you and I would be thinking of spending a fiver.

How can you consider yourself one of the best players in the world, if not the best, and not want to try it out in the Premier League is beyond me. If you want to prove yourself against the best players in the world week in and week out there is only one league to go to, but if your looking for easy trophies and sunshine then I guess Real and Barca is the place to go.
Sorry mate but you are spoofing non-senses. Most players want to go there and we have been the victim of it with our best player. Madrid is objectively the best club in the World.
Should Mbappé go to Forest to test himself ?
