It's a way of thinking and has nothing to do with demographics. They can be found everywhere. They just hide under their fancy jobs and fancy clothes but deep down inside they are what they are.

But that intent cannot be proven, as the evidence shown, for this particular event(s), it was self defense. He was attacked, threatened, and harassed. The evidence and testimony is there.
Going into it, yes, the possibility of death at his hands was real. How he possessed his weapons in the first place and all that, it's highly questionable and illegal.
Judging by what I've read/seen in the last few days, this outcome makes sense. It's not surprising at all, imo. Leaving aside ideology and fear that this might become a precedence, it seems more justifiable than to sentence him guilty.
