Kobe Bryant RIP

Damn. Celebrity deaths never fazed me but this feels different. Very saddened by this news. Kobe was my generation's Jordan.

Heard his daughter passed with him in the same crash as well. Sickening news.

RIP Mamba. :(

Just watching the golf, and the interview people putting guys on the spot about Kobe's death? Wtf man? It happens all the time when someone dies.

News and media outlets are absolute garbage.

"You've just heard Kobe has died as you are signing your card 2 seconds ago, what are your thoughts?"

Jesus man.

People are weird.

I started following basketball in the late 90's and Shaq was my favourite player then. I remember during the Lakers last few years and after they disbanded I hated Kobe because I thought he was selfish etc. What he did after that and winning those two titles later on won my respect, he stayed with the Lakers even after those horrible seasons after Shaq left and built another title winning team.

Fecking horrified, an icon for the basketball era I grew up watching and wanted to imitate while playing myself.

Not into basketball but obviously knew of him and I'm sure most people have shouted "Kobe!" when throwing something into a bin or whatever at least once. Won't be the same.

Terrible news, RIP.

Yea man.

Dribble into the mid range, jump and lean back and shout Kobe.

Yea, I believed him. Just amazed and befuddled at what people would do for some internet clout.

What’s so weird about that date anyway?
I think he wanted to point out that he "predicted" it before it happened/the date of the post was before the event, but it's been now proven that he edited the date like the stereotypical social media scum.

What's wrong with people? Fecking douchebag.

Embarrassing montage from BBC on the news, half the clips were of Lebron James. The newsreader was stumbling over her words as well, I expect they'll face some backlash for that.

For real? That'd be astoundingly amateurish.

It was absolutely awful. Hope they get some heat for it.

So surreal when seeing the headline on the news, thoughts are with those that died and their close friends and family.

As if it wasn't already sad enough, seems that 2 young girls have died as well then. Terrible stuff :(

Did not see the footage... But yesterday LeBron passed Kobe"s total of points scored. I'm not sure if the coverage was in reference to this

Ah right. Surely if you’re going for full on Nostradamus status you’d change it to last week, not 8 years ago.
