Rumor mill..

A few hours later

He says we're struggling to agree a new deal... He's under contract for another 2 and a half years plus an optional year. Absolute tosh.

Nonsense rumor. He has a contract til 2027 with option til 2028. Effectively 3 years.

If we had PSR issues, we would sell literally every other player in the squad before we sell Mainoo. If it had to be a graduate, it would be Garnacho, not Mainoo.

If we sell Mainoo then we really are finished as a top football club.

If I'm being honest, I'd take £150m. There's no money in this club. Give that dough to someone capable and we might be back in business.

   The report is having the intended effect. Every time reports like these come out everybody bites even though we all know why the report has been written.

I saw another Athletic article which tried to say Mainoo and Garnacho offer pure profit if sold today. And it was very suspicious to me how they included Mainoo in that angle but not say Rashford.

If they offer £150 million, I can see United accepting it with the financial issues currently.

In the Summer obviously, not this month.

£150m might be tempting... otherwise feck off.

£150m is roughly what we spent on Mount and Antony. Even if we sold him for £200m I'd be annoyed because we'd only go and waste it.

If they are willing to enter absolutely silly money territory like > £150 million, then I am sure there will be due consideration. In fact those figures are the type which can help us rebuild the squad with good shrewd buys much like what Liverpool did with the Coutinho money.

I could see Garnacho going if there's offers, but not Mainoo

I'd turn down 100m for Mainoo. He isn't worth that right now but players of his style are difficult to find, so to have a player like that with that potential from your own academy is worth holding onto.

In fairness it's been a while since Chelsea splashed £100m+ on a midfielder so they must be getting anxious.

We shouldn't sell him, but this is just hyperbolic drivel. Other "top" clubs have sold far better players than Mainoo, ourselves included
