We've seen teams get a double promotion into the premier league, and the reverse, teams get relegated from the premier league into the league 1 in successive season, it is always quite fascinating to me. Is it momentum? Is the gap between the bottom of the premier league and top of league 1 not as drastic as it seems?
Regardless, McKenna has done a phenomenal job, and Ive been pleasantly surprised by his tactics. I assumed his teams would be very pragmatic, but he seems to have a decent set up and I think he has potential to one day break into the elite group of managers. Whilst it would be nice to see him get promoted and then establish Ipswich in the PL, it might be the best for his career if he jumps ship and finds himself a job at an already established club such as Brighton or Palace or even Brentford if the opportunity arises.
