Ki Sung Yeung

I hate the way some people judge players on how they do against us, Fellaini anyone?.
Accrington Stanley players would of looked good against us over recent years such is the state of our midfield at times.

1. I quoted a post saying he was better than anyone we have bar Carrick (which is why I pointed out Herrera)

2. I don't really believe he is a big upgrade on Fletcher (given Fletchers defensive work) and I don't think he is better than Carrick either.

He would be a good signing as a squad player, but we actually need to spend on a top quality CM to play with Herrera IMO, not a mid table CM which Ki is.

I don't see the point of signing an average CM to replace our already average CMs
 
Some people think he would be a good signing? Seriously people? We have lowered the bar so law anyone can hop over it.

What defensive work?

Fletcher didnt even bother tracking midfielders, like Ki back.

I agree he'd be a cover player not a first team starter and we should be looking for someone to start next to Ander preferably. But he's definitely better than all our cms except Ander and an on form Carrick

Hahahaha I set myself up for that one, but usually he can do a job defensively.
 
I've watched a bit of Ki for Korea and Celtic, due to him being Korean and me liking to tracking our players in Europe. He's a good nifty player who's got a decent pass on him and a great shot.

However his attitude used to be horrible, but that seems to have improved since his marriage.

Overall, he'd make a great signing for 4 million. Trust me, you won't get anyone better than him for 4 mil.
 
Seriously...How are people even remotely discussing him coming to us. Ki-Sung-Yeung....its an embarrassment. Imagine if someone suggested that at the end of last season. Or the year before when Fergie was in charge, a player of that calibre.

It's madness.

We have enough squad players as it is. We need players who'd walk in to our starting 11. World class players too.

For £4 million he'd be a good replacement for Carrick/Fletcher as an additional squad player. Not a priority for this summer though and wouldn't address any of the immediate issues you have, you can manage with those two as long as you bring in another top notch CM.

We really have to look at what we consider an embarrassment. Anyone who has watched our midfield performances over the last 12 months and considers the potential addition of a player like Ki-Sung Yeung an embarrassment needs his head examined. He's not going to be the solution to all our woes but he's an impressively tidy operater. As Ekeke says, an improvement on everything we have bar Herrera and possibly Carrick.

A lot of us are still looking for magic solutions. They're not going to come. Incremental improvements will be our road to redemption. This turning our nose up at everyone bar world beaters has to stop.
