Lovely player, but not at all what we need right now. Him going to PSG, Rashford to Naples and Osimhen to us could well be the chain of events about to kick off.

Napoli's highest earner (Lukaku) is on £148k, which would mean United have to either sell Rashford to them for a farcically low fee, or else continue paying for at least 60% of his wages if he goes on loan. Not particularly ideal for us, in fact, under those terms I would rather send him to Arsenal.
Getting a new stadium and aiming to win the title by 2028 won't be done by making things horrendous and not spending big money.
I'd like to think we'll be there for up and coming top players in future, but if the new policy saves us from established top players looking for a final big contract then it's the right approach.

Rashford 250k (NoCL wages) to Naples for 50M
Osimhen 230k to ManUtd for 65M - wage increase to 250k.
Win, win, win. We easily comply with PSR and get a striker, Naples gets rid of Osimhen and gets 80M+Rashford.

Players who go to PSG are bullets dodged. Especially one with his choice of clubs. I don't want to hear about how great Paris can be, from a footballing point of view its about as close as you can get in Europe to moving to a saudi club. You look at somebody like veratti who spent his career there - won 30 trophies and nobody really gives a shit or remembers him beyond his national team. Its a wasteland and speaks to a lack of ambition.
Who would pay the 250k for him to move to Napoli ? Certainly not Napoli.

That's not a very good deal for us then. We need Rashford (and Casemiro's) wages off the books. Saving an extra £650/wk could go a long with to fund the wages of 4 or 5 new quality players.

I guess they were the only ones to stump up the cash. Kvara and Neves are both young enough to stay there for 3 years and yet to peak, so they can still have a career in a top league, i.e. Barca, Bayern, Real or the Prem.

I would be very surprised if we find a buyer/loanee for Rashford this window who pays the fulls wages for him. Too much of a costly risk for them.
Our best bet, in my opinion, is sending him on loan for 6 months with about 50% wages paid. And then get a good deal in summer.
