I think his technique and dribbling is a little too good for my liking. The worst part would be that it would have been awkward to have him on the pitch and Mount still wearing the #7 in the physio room. So it's a bullet dodged alright. It's better to not have too many players who can do the unexpected, get the crowd off their feet, and that.

You seem to be forgetting that Mount once scored a goal for us. How many goals has Kvaratskhelia scored for us? Exactly
 
A bit of an overrated player imo and actually doesnt suit our system very well because he isnt that good at passing.

Not a kick an run merchant hence why people like his dribbling - but when he does; it's usually just a shot on goal.

Maybe im wrong but im not surprised that there wasnt a big fight to sign him and he ended up going for a price less than we bought Hojlund for.

Lets see him at PSG.
 
Like others have mentioned, PSG willl likely put him on the market in 1-2 years time to chase the next shiney new player.

Most players don't particularly care about the level of domestic league actually. Sure, playing in the PL might be preferred, but ultimately nobody is turning down PSG because of the quality of Ligue1. In the same way top top players don't sign for City or Liverpool to play in the PL. They sign to get paid huge money and win. PSG pretty much guarantees winning the league

And most importantly, they guarantee participating in the one competition those players DO care about above all else, the Champions League, on a team with real ambition and real chances to win it
 
Would have been such a great replacement for Rashford.

Sadly we wasted all that money on Antony with zero to show for.

Rayan Cherki at EUR25-30m is a deal worth losing some sleep over imho. Angelo Stiller for EUR40-50m is another one.

Interesting. I remember Cherki from youth football when he was a hype on the level of Diallo if not more. Then he seemed to stall a bit for Lyon. Did he have some attitude issues? He seems to have a good deal of assists this season, but why would you lose sleep over him in a role where we already have Bruno and Amad?

Stiller I haven’t really seen play. Would he start in our midfield ahead of Ugarte and Mainoo?

There have been reports of him having big attitude problems, yes. He has also been accused of being lazy, not tracking back etc.

He's really talented but I wouldn't sign him now unless it was a really cheap deal and we could easily offload him if he didn't conduct himself properly

He's very ambipedal and can easily play on the left too. Always good to have rotation options and can also be utilised when Bruno plays further back.

No doubt the money is better, that's all PSG can offer. It's the thought process and ambition of the player I find odd

What ambition? If he cant get an offer from Liverpool or City or Madrid or Bayern any club is just another club that aint gonna win the league. At a perfect storm some obscure clubs could win something but at the end of the day a league winner is dime and dozen.

How's playing for PSG any different than playing for Spurs, United, Westham, etc?

Cherki - his underlying metrics are off the roof and he is only 21. He seems to be having a little bit of a breakthrough season. Due to OLs issues and his contact , we can buy a potentially Neymar level player for pocket change. His attitude issues - he has had some contract issues with the club President (not the manager) and the president seems to be defaming him. If he is performing on the pitch and the rumours continue to come out, I am not sure what to believe.

Bruno and Amad are great but we need some depth. Bruno wil also need replacing in couple of years so good to sort early.

Stiller will partner with Ugarte. He is like a Carrick mould of player. Barca wanted to sign him but are skint. Wharton is similar but CP is going to charge too much.
