Kevin De Bruyne

He is absolutely fantastic. Just a great footballer. Not someone who you consider a super athlete with a particular attribute that makes him special. He is just so gifted technically.

Incredible player but he's so fecking boring. Shows no emotion whatsoever. Yes, this has nothing to do with football, but as a football fan, I like to see players celebrating when they score. Even his interviews are shite.

I prefer it over the dancing and prepared celebrations players like Jlingz (when he used to score), Pogba or other players do tbf.

Did you see Kwan’s celebration today? He’s scored two PL goals all season, he’s had months to perfect his shit dance routine.

KDB is a brilliant player and a serial winner. Dance routines were cool when Lee Sharpe was doing them, and fine if you are a good enough player to pull them off.

Not too sure why people have started talking dancing when all I said is that he doesnt celebrate. Yes, dancing is a form of celebrating, but KDB doesnt do anything at all. His choice obviously, but I stick to my initial point in that I personally prefer to see players celebrate when they score a goal.

Couldn’t care less to be honest. Except when players score against their fronted clubs and don’t celebrate when usually they should. Unless you are an absolute legend, then celebrate your goal the way you usually would.

I like a non celebration, it’s as if it’s expected. Perhaps a level of arrogance? But that’s what you need if you are a top player.

Could be a level of arrogance, but in KDBs case, I just think its because hes a boring cnut.

So running around after scoring a goal in a empty stadium makes you a interesting person...?

So youre saying you should only celebrate a goal scored when there's a crowd? Feck me, I should have just stood still when I scored all those bangers for my Saturday side.

He's genuinely one of the best players I've ever watched in my life. As someone who appreciates passing more than any one other particular skill in football, his vision, weight of pass and range of passing really are something else. He's become one of those players that I watch and think "I am glad that I get to watch this player live"

 No you are the one making claims by saying him not celebrating makes him boring.
Also I don't think many people are filming you running about like a twat in the park

Champions league final or important games he’s going to celebrate no doubt. Meaningless end of season games when they’re scoring for fun seems a bit daft to run around waving your shirt.
he does come across as boring though

Same ‘boring’ celebration every time. He also celebrates winning the league by creosoting his fence.

It’s just a strange thing to pick KDB up on.

A celebration is a celebration.

Not really strange. I find it more strange that he foesnt celebrate, especially when scoring a worldie like he did today. Each to their own though, I guess.

So he’s celebrating because he’s being filmed? You were being ridiculous so thought I’d join in

You've contradicted yourself in so many ways here. The state of you! Im sorry if ive hurt your feelings, but the fact is, I like players celebrating, fans or no fans. Dont see the problem.

How so? I think you are just backtracking on the claim that celebrating in some way makes you interesting, that sounds like a insecurity too me if you think like that.

Since restart barley anyone is celebrating with the same passion because 1. There's no fans to celebrate with and 2. fewer teams, particularly City had anything to play for

What @Zlatan 7 said.

KDB celebrates when it means something. He doesn't celebrate when he scores in dead rubbers on if its the 4th or 5th goal in a hiding. Stupid stick to try and beat him with.

It’s only one poster and everybody is disagreeing with him in fairness. De Bruyne should get player of the year, no question.

Who do you guys think Pep rates higher, him or Xavi and Iniesta?

De Bruyne is great, but I don't think he's near the other two. Those two are amongst the greatest to play their position ever, don't think De Bruyne fits the same category. He's probably the best of his generation.

Really? Why do you think so.

for me and I think for Pep, Xavi is the ultimate midfielder. He was a cooler head than KDB, not nearly as clinical but very rarely gave the ball away. They'd make the perfect pairing. KDB is amazing and probably go down as Cities best ever player if he stays around but he's sometimes too aggressive with the ball for a Pep team. He constantly looks for the killer ball and you can see sometimes it drives Pep mental as it leads to counter attacks. As a fan its amazing to watch but for Pep when a through ball that's not really on gets cut out and Adama Traore breaks on a 2 man defence at 100 mph, he finds it frustrating. I think if he was pushed he'd say KDB has the best final ball of anyone not named Messi he's worked with, but I think he'd put both Xavi and Iniesta above him in terms of all round midfield play. Not far above but above for sure.

Wow, disagree with that. He easily tops them with crosses but final balls through the middle and/or splitting the defence, he's inferior to both Iniesta and Xavi for me.

I guess we're on opposite sides on this one but for me KDB is as good at putting a man though on goal as both. His other passing ability often gets underrated because his crossing is so good.
