Its going to come out eventually that City players official wages are only the half of it. There's some under the table shit going on to keep these players at a club like Man City.
I get the point, but I have to!Probably the best crosser in world football by far. Especially those driven crosses along the ground. Insane.
They have the best manager in the world and basically guarantee major trophies. Its going to come out eventually that City players official wages are only the half of it. There's some under the table shit going on to keep these players at a club like Man City.
City would have to pay the ten, right?Great player.
We should offer Lingard + £10m for him.
That red hair in a red shirt, it’s a no brainer for him.
Risky business going after a player that one of PSG or Man City want to keep.
Look what happened to Barca when they were pursuing Varratti. They have feck you money and aren't afraid to use it to send a message.
That's a fair point actually.Risky business going after a player that one of PSG or Man City want to keep.

Now they do. They kept a hold of Kompany, Aguero and Silva long before that. If that was any other club, they'd have all marched out as soon as they barely made the Champions League that year. They have the best manager in the world and basically guarantee major trophies.
He's on course to be the best CM in PL history. He will be the captain and at 28 its almost set for him to dominate for the next 4 seasons.
Worth noting that situation at that point was fairly specific, Neymar wanted out and he was IMO the only valuable player in Barcelona that would even entertain moving to Paris (and look how that turned out). They could have paid Messi's clause and he'd just have laughed at them.
Of course!City would have to pay the ten, right?
Agreed but I think a lot of that is due to the manager when comparing him to Pogba. He's unquestionably a great player though. That would contribute a lot into making him that player yeah. KDB is a player who exploits his ability close to 100% in much more games than Pogba
AND David Silva. Their collection of midfielders is cheating.Having him and Bernardo Silva is just cheating.
And crossing, for the most part. His shooting has been atrocious today.
2 crosses for goals... What match are you watching? And crossing, for the most part.
Objectively speaking which CM that has played in the PL does KDB have no chance of overtaking?Best CM in PL history?

He's obviously not the best yet but he definitely has the chance to be.
Players such as?You're forgetting how good players that came before him have been.

That's all I'm saying is that he can. He's obviously behind Gerrard for now but if he dominates over the next 4 seasons as I said in my first post it is possible he could surpass Gerrard. KDB is entering his prime years.Steven Gerarrd for one, Neville mentioned him in the commentary in comparison
There are not detailed stats for his whole career but for his later career there are some

In his best season there he beats KDB's best goals and assists total, beats him on pass completion, on defensive work, on successful long passes, loses the ball less than him through dispossessions and bad touches and when you're looking at leadership qualities I don't think anyone would argue that KDB is better. That's all playing in an much inferior side to this Man City one. KDB beats him in key passes but not much else.

Plus KDB hasn't been here all that long. He's a top top player of course and perhaps he could achieve what you say but he isn't breaking new ground really.
I watched every single one of those midfielders year in year out in the PL and there's not one player in that list that is out of reach from De Bruyne. Now its very possible he doesn't end up being better than them but he could.Yaya "Bday Cake" Touré, Scholes, Keane, Lampard, Xabi Alonso, Mascherano, Makélélé, Vieira and probably others.

It's a good point actually, why haven't Madrid or barca ever considered one of Silva, Aguero, Kompany etc
sorryI get the point, but I have to!
He's probably the best player in the league but some of you're getting way OTT with 'best CM in PL' stuff.
Are you a city fan? He's on course to be the best CM in PL history. He will be the captain and at 28 its almost set for him to dominate for the next 4 seasons.
Agreed. He seems to be hugging a single position and relying on his admittedly brilliant crossing technique.Look I know he puts a great ball in and supplied 2 assists but man he seems to have lost some of his mobility. I know I may sound silly saying this after today but I think he has declined. Doesn't have the same oomph imo. Still a very good player though.

pretty much sums him up perfectly, but, they've got players around him that excel at everything else so its a match made in heaven!Agreed. He seems to be hugging a single position and relying on his admittedly brilliant crossing technique.
Crouch was the first ever attempt. If you were to design a football robot AI you would come with De Bruyne. Cheat code
Fantastic today, well on top of his game. Spurs giving him way too much space though
