Kelly Cates, Mark Chapman and Gabby Logan announced as new MOTD presenters

Do young people watch Match of the Day? Highlights are available as soon as a game finishes nowadays. I assumed their viewership was diminishing.

The only man for the job. Has a background in sports reporting, a BBC veteran of 30+ years, at home on live broadcasts, no skeletons in his closet*

Smell my cheese ya mother

Decent lineup that, especially Kelly & Gabby both always come across really well.

I'd imagine if they're like me, they will watch highlights of a win many times. And not at all if United get beat.

A good question, I suspect not. Probably watch on youtube I would have thought.

His commentary of the 1994 WC still makes me laugh.

“SHIT!!”

He's very very good. Crazy how he's not really promoted enough.
I'm surprised he's not on more stuff, maybe it's his personal choice, but he's quite clearly head and shoulders above the majority of pundits out there. Maybe he doesn't fit what broadcasters want or think people are interested in, but it's a shame. He's genuinely great.

Match of the Day, the BBC’s flagship Premier League highlights programme, has unveiled three new hosts to replace Gary Lineker, including the daughter of Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish.
Kelly Cates,
Gabby Logan and Mark Chapman will share presenting duties on the iconic show, which celebrated its 60th anniversary last year, when current host Lineker steps down at the end of this season.

Does Kelly present the Premier League Retro program? Like when they go and do the 97-98 season for example and snippets of the news each month?
