wheres andy gray? why the feck is an x shitty scum, being allowed to coment on us! i hate quinn

i doubt we can do another comback this season, just hope liverpool and chelsea beat the arse, and we beat all three when we play.

have chelsea nicked our consistency,
Forget the CL, wee need a striker for the EPL, ronaldhino or cisse would be a quick fix.

As defenders will not know too much about them, i can't beleive fergie changed his golden defensive combo, put in a half fit keane instead of fully fit Phil, and played ruud upfront instead of forlan, due to current form.

Still can't score against a packed defence, Blanc's still a liability at the back.

We had 8 good games and now we've rediscovered our old form. RVN hardly in it, Keano clearly not fit for it and Blanc is too slow, especially if you're gonna go two at the fecking back. That switch was a joke.

its like star wars!

saf = obi wan kenobi

mac = darth vader!

master and student!

if we played Phil today
everyone will be saying why the feck didn't Keano play?

etc...etc..........predictable stuff

wheres keano been hiding! i dont think pihl nev should have been dropped! i hope hes not scared of getting the foot in

Let's see how we react to this at a packed OT on new year's day!

ref didn't exactly help..

we should have atleast got one pen.. he's been a frigging twat all match

macaroni was offside for their goal.

having said that......we didn't show enough urgency in the first half.

winning 8 on the trot is nice, keeping 5 clean sheets is wonderful, but it becomes a problem when winning depends on a clean sheet...
we are useless when we go a goal down

Going behind has never been a big worry for me (do I really mean that? ) because we've always been able to fight back. But there was no midfield today. Same problem we had earlier in the season. Keano and Seba do not combine well, end of.

FT Boro 3 - 1 United

All credit to Boro and McClaren, they played even better tactically than before, knowing when to defend in numbers, and when to break and when to keep the ball, they were always in control of the tactics. Losing Silvestre at a time when Rio and Blanc weren't ready to play was a crucial factor, Blanc was a constant liability today. That can be fixed. But we still haven't got the ability to open up such a defence. I think only a transfer can fix that.

Here's hoping for the next game SAF plays Becks from the start ( I thought he looked fit at least) and Keano for the second half, Phil for the first. Ole up front and rest RVN he needs it and he deserves it. Hope Micky is fit but don't play Larry whatever.

pack the defence and hit the oppostion, even at him, on the break.

You base tactics on the players you have Giggzy, and the team's you're facing.

ABSOLUTLY GUTTING THIS X-MAS PERIOD HAS BEEN .... our attack has been far to 1-dimensional with no wingers apart from giggs who leaves alot to be desired at the moment. Blanc coming back into the side was nothing but bizarre he offers more negatives than positives compared to other options.

The last 8 games (before Blackburn) hard work has been pissed away and the title is once again out of our hands whereas before we had a direct say in who would be champions.

they always play like that, Neil.

look at everton, not exactly blessed with great players..but i'd much rather watch moyes' team.... it kinda reflects his personality.

We just didn't look dangerous. Nobody to run at them and cause a panic. Where has Giggs gone this season, I am so disapointed with his form. He doesn't go past anyone anymore and as he can't pass he's fecked really. I've loved him from day one but I'm worried it's all over for him now and we're about to see him decline. He shouldn't, he's not very old but dear oh dear! And that hip could be the end of the Keano we love too. OK, OK, I'm off to slash my wrists. Temporary of course. Back with a vengence at the weekend. UNITED FOREVER

losing two tough away games is not the end of the world.
winning the next 5 is possible, and then we'll have a say again in the title race

(cross your fingers for the scouse...)

;)

If it makes Boro do as well as they are (better than under Robson), then its very good. When they get Juninho back they'll play more attractive football.

Couldn't give a toss how they play. It's United I'm interested in.

I think it would have been hard to break down Middlesbrough even if we had played 2 up front. But from the moment I heard RVN was playing up front by himself, I was worried. For me, the way the game unfolded was totally predictable.

I do think we need a different type of striker to break down these defences, but also playing 2 strikers up front wouldn't be a bad place to start. Unless he's getting great support from the midfield, I think Ruud's always going to struggle playing as the lone striker.
