Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

It's been a shit season, but at least there's been some relief these last few weeks watching the wheels fall off.

We really did break them. The FA Cup and the 2-2 game have really derailed their season. feckers.

The pandemic was met with wildly different reactions from clubs, which is why that season very much deserves an asterisk. Some clubs took huge precautions because the severity of COVID was relatively unknown. Others didn't and were able to capitalize on the fact that many clubs were holding back. Some clubs were heavily hit by players getting sick, others were lucky enough to remain largely unaffected.

While the title from that season does count, it is absolutely fair to acknowledge the strong likelihood that Liverpool won it precisely because of the pandemic and the way it threw the whole season into complete disarray. It caused a situation where nobody else challenged for the title at all because it was anyone's guess what the consequences of going 'business as usual' might be.

In some ways, it could be called mildly irresponsible to approach it as an opportunity to snag an easy title while the world grappled with not just the disease itself but also the many people who refused to take precautions against it. Not a great example for a major sporting institution to set. I wouldn't go so far as to say that Liverpool contributed to things like the anti-mask movement, that would certainly be overstating the case; but many clubs held back and took every possible precaution exactly because of the potential optics of not doing so, given what society was dealing with in that regard.

For that reason, that year's title is worth the least of any PL title ever won.

Assuming this isn't something sort of satire, you know that covid kicked in near the end of the season they won it don't you. When they had about a 15-20 point lead with not long to go?

The next season was the more farcical one behind closed doors, with games off at the drop of a hat, players dropping out randomly and a real mess of a season.
Liverpool ironically one of the worst affected as they lost about 6 homes in a row. The 7th game being a draw against us.

Some really terrible buys and a poor end of his time there.

The next manager actually has a real job on his hands and should have inherited a far better squad.

He has been great for them, but he really has made mistakes over the last couple of years, particularly with his squad building. It’s been poor.

Had another post-game interview moment, where he got pissy with a journalist. The question was something like, "Do you regret not starting Salah and Diaz in the first match", and Klopp's reply started with "If you did you job properly...".

He's so tilted.

Moon was on the wrong side of the Sun and the magnetic field was distorted, how was he supposed to win under such conditions?

Still bitter about the draw against us, brought up their finishing against us. Probably where the wheels started coming off for them.

You have to admire Fergie even more, how long did he go for. Klopp looks absolutely spent.

His annoying smile when they concede a goal really infuriates me. It’s almost like an arrogance knowing they will come back and win anyway. Round you ya big German tube.

They’ve been finished ever since we pissed on their quadruple parade. A fairytale ending for Goofy.
