Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

Agree with what he’s saying but like others have pointed out City downing etc has nothing to do with him having only 2 wins in the league this year.
Find the Liverpool fans in here funny saying we should want them to win, I was living in Liverpool the year Aguero won it late on sin 2011, watched it in Concert Square Liverpool erupted when he scored like it was a Liverpool goal and after the game would have thought it was Liverpools title.

The thing (and some people seem to not understand this) is that both United and Liverpool fans (at least people in my generation and older) genuinely don't give a shit about City as a rival.

They're regarded as utterly artificial. They could win the CL several times in succession without much reaction from United fans.

For teams I don’t support that was the most enjoyable day of football I have seen in awhile. Couple of things though that seperate that from a game like today. No one knew City were going to become the big boys of the league and take over their city like they did. They were minnows in a lot of peoples eyes so naturally everyone in the country were rooting for them. All these years later a game like today keeps the state owned oil machine a step closer to winning the league yet again. You cannot all say it doesn’t mean anything if they win because it does mean something and Klopp speaking out about like he does just affirms what most people in football are thinking but never say publicly. It’s time to support proper clubs.

The change from "this guy's genius is he just stands there watching and then reacts to whatever the striker does", to "he just stands there" has been amazing.

It's almost like his style of defending has been found out overnight.
Strikers cottoned on to it rapidly this season.

No more likely he got a major career ending injury.

Seems bizarre to be roping Newcastle into this at the moment, when they've not even remotely started to Chelsea/Man City their money around.

Like some other fans won't accept the Glazers are a bust for us, because they just look at our spending, many fans do the same with Liverpool.
Not understanding that them competing with City's spending is an unreal body of work.

Hopefully it looks like it's fallen off a cliff. But then it looked to have even more dramatically a couple of years ago, and they refound form.
A lot of that was down to the mad set of combos they had to play in centre defence and no fans though. This time it looks more problems across the team.
Can see Klopps next job at a club backed by Oil money. If you can’t beat them, join them!

Are Arsenal and Spurs also out of the title race, so far, this season? Liverpool being in 11th place after 8 games has nothing to do with financial doping by City, Liverpool are just a bit shit this season. Was he competing with City the last few seasons?

Whilst I agree with the sentiments of what he's saying, it does come over a bit cry baby, the way he's saying it. He needs to concentrate on his own team, at this stage, not cry about others.

Not they are not out of the race this season, but they are competing after a cycle of 7-8 years for Arsenal and a lot of manager churns for Spurs. Despite that, both those teams are untested in such situations. Just remember what happened in Ole's second season once United managed to reach the top of the table.

Klopp was talking about long term rebuilds, which he has to go through this season. He has lost Mane, needs to refresh players, get some competition for places and hunger in the squad.

He actually talks about young player, experience, coaching etc to keep competitiveness in his squad in the same clip, and he is comparing that to City who don't need to worry about that. They can just go and buy the best striker in the market regardless of cost to complete the rebuild.

It does sound a bit rich given they spent more on Nunez than City did on Haaland. But it's good that someone (even if Klopp) is speaking about it.

Just goes to further highlight why football isn't finishing. It's finished. We're all in wind down.

Agreed. Hope City batter them 10-0 today. I’ll root for everyone else against City (unless it means Liverpool win the league).

It wound be interesting to see the media reaction if their beloved Liverpool got pounded at home by City. I wonder if they’ll ever publicly acknowledge the fact that oil money has destroyed the game.

He doesn't strike me as a guy who takes the high expectation jobs.
Playing the underdog card is his speciality.

He actually got some form of punishment for being the screaming deranged fecking lunatic he always is on the touchline?

He's been needing a red card for sometime,

I'd have knocked them perly whites out of his face if he spoke to me in that way.

Definitely didn’t fancy going toe to toe with City today but understandable. First time I’ve seen a team dominate possession at Anfield for a while whilst the home team sits in and plays on the counter. He got it right though and the result.

Looked more solid with Milner at RB and without Nunez on the pitch.

The linesman deserved everything he got there. How you can allow what Silva did right in front of you and not raise the flag is beyond me.

He (Klopp) wasn't responding to quadruple questions. He was saying they are out of the title race this year and they can't compete year on year because of financial doping. It's not possible.

He is highlighting a genuine issue for football. If we can't respect him for that, what's the point?

How does it matter if he is the Liverpool manager when he is making the point.

In 2-3 seasons, Newcastle will be nailed on for top 4 and will be winning leagues in 4-5 seasons.

None of this will be because of great club building (which the media will call it), but purely financial doping. PSG, Man City and Newcastle will be the big clubs for the next generation of fans.
He's simply playing the underdog card as he always has, and you've fallen for it.

Anyway it seems to have worked, his team was fired up and got a result against the "unbeatable" City.

His teeth are probably like a stripper’s fake nails - bright & shiny on the outside, nappy Velveeta cheese color on the inside.

His behaviour on the sideline today was appalling. I coach underage GAA games and occasionally ref them, and I have never seen a parent or coach behave in that manner. The Premier League claim to promote respect towards officials. If they truly want to do this they should bring a disciplinary charge against him.

I would love that. A three or five match ban. Then he's released from prison with new menacing tattooes and muscles. The refs in the 4th/6th games will absolutely be shitting themselves.

Back to being a horrific arrogant bully you mean. He is one of the biggest arseholes in football.

Right now, five seconds for a yes or no. Do you swap Conte for Klopp tonight. Go...5....4...3....

Where’s @MUW4Eva? Need to be told how that win means absolutely nothing and how Liverpool can still forget about top 4.
