How many trophies did Jurgen win Pep?

Amen to that.Wonder if Pool will have a BVB style collapse next season, losing the title on the last day of the season and know this. It will take alot to comeback mentally.
It's a shame Ajax had a meltdown vs Spurs. I was happy for Poch but wanted Ajax to win the thing. I think they would've had a more competitive final. And not just any English side, fecking Spurs.
You couldn't ask for an easier team to play in a final.
People keep saying this. We're not going to stop competing until Klopp goes imo. Whether we win either of the big boys again is hard to say. Might be difficult with City around and the nature of the CL. He has already started bringing in younger players to refresh things. Van Dijk will be the hardest player to replace but that's 2-3 years away from being an issue.Wonder if Pool will have a BVB style collapse next season, losing the title on the last day of the season and know this. It wasn’t even as difficult as that. They played Benfica in the quarters. Inter in the last 16 maybe a little tougher than Porto.
Never seen him so down as he was in the post-match interview with BT.
To me it looked like Carvajal was handling Diaz fine and we clearly needed more numbers in the box. Jota can pop up with something. Probably right about Firmino for Thiago but Keita's pretty good normally when it comes to passing forward.
And Pool cheated to get a penalty against Spurs in the Champ league final? And not just any English side, fecking Spurs.

See exactly?
That 2009 side was almost as close to the Quad as this Liverpool side and it's been pretty much completely forgotten about. And they actually won one of the big trophies.
So the idea a side that won the FA Cup and League Cup via penalties in both finals, has had one of the greatest ever seasons is madness.
It's crazy that people forget that side although that season wasn't as standout as the previous two in terms of quality football. The defence carried us a lot that season.See exactly?

Replacing Salah is going to be pretty difficult too.People keep saying this. We're not going to stop competing until Klopp goes imo. Whether we win either of the big boys again is hard to say. You have to remember that we've had big disappointments under Klopp and bounced back before. He's learned from his time at Dortmund.
After Klopp goes it's guess work depending on numerous factors. We might drop off at that point and have to start again but that's too hard to figure out right now.
Yeah exactly. If it weren't for Barcelona we'd have 2 more CL titles! That's the stupidest bit, screams also rans, "but but if it weren't for city"....yeah if it weren't for them wee have 3 titles too......mad and daft concept
Fair play to you Dumbstar. On here despite the loss. Respect.I came in here to lick my wounds. Thankfully Klopp signed that extension. Seems like you Utd fans will have to continue supporting the real big club of Manchester (City) and Ronaldo's favourite ever club (Real Madrid) until 2026 and not 2024.
Exactly. Fair play to @DumbstarBackbone. Why come on here just to gloat? That makes you a bitch
It's a wum's life.Fair play to you Dumbstar. On here despite the loss. Respect.
GoofyNext year is their year!

Liverpool's best defender is hard at work againThose were actually great sides. Unless you think we were crap in 1997-98
Because even their forum is wankTruthfully, why, as a liveroool fan, are you on here right now? Genuine question
Going far in competitions is meaningless for big clubs. In the end they didn't win either of the big trophies. He's still an exceptional manager and this season's of the best I've ever seen for any club.
Yes, they ultimately came short and 'only' won two of the four trophies, nevertheless how they they pushed on every single front until the very end is a sight to behold and an example to every club wanting to call themselves a great one. Especially by today's standards. Or you keep your oppo fan specs and call him shite.

He has dramatically lifted the standards at the club if we’re disappointed at a domestic cup double. I remember looking at top four as a distant dream in the period after Benitez was sacked. Our seasons from 06/07 to 14/15 are largely mediocre, now we’re getting mocked for “only” winning the two domestic cups. Klopp deserves a lot of credit for that even if we’ve come up short for the ones we really wanted.Going far in competitions is meaningless for big clubs. He does evolve how we play every season. We’re different now to what we were in 19/20 for example. To be considered a truly magnificent side you need to consistently put big trophies in the cabinet which is something we haven’t done.
Thankfully we have won some things. Great manager but it might be time for him to evolve the side a little bit to be honest.
And didn’t that English side have a man sent off in the opening minutes? The one win was against a fellow English side and the two losses were against the same Spanish side, too.
It’s not that though, is it? It’s the way the media, ex Liverpool players, your fans and even players went about it. TAA tweeted 1/4 after the carling cup win, Salah tweeting “we have a score to settle”, Owen saying Liverpool to win easily right before the game etc. If you went about your business quietly no one will be “mocking” you.He has dramatically lifted the standards at the club if we’re disappointed at a domestic cup double. Nah Diaz has been in form and Mane’s been performing as a number 9 recently. Jota’s all round play has been poor and Firmino’s not played much. Diaz was handled well by Carvajal.Starting Diaz was a blunder and that whole attacking configuration was completely wrong from the off. Got carried away by the flavour of the month and some performances vs Villarreal etc but in such games experience and chemistry matters much more than individual skill. Firmino came on and opened up the game improving the quality of attacks and chances they were creating. Either him or Jota who is more of a predator would have given them more of a threat also with Mane in a wide position from where he could have created more. For like the first hour or so they had zero threat down the left.
That's what I'm saying his form was against rather poor teams. He was literally moaning at Thiago and Robertson throughout the first half for not getting their through balls right and there was no sync between them which is to be expected. Carvajal did well because Liverpool were never able to release Diaz early and allowed Carvajal to catch up and when they tried to it failed miserably. That flank was a disaster and none of the players knew what the other one was doing. That hurt your attack massively and funnelled it down the right.Nah Diaz has been in form and Mane’s been performing as a number 9 recently. We have an issue on our right in that we only have Salah who can play there. There’s no option to rotate or move Salah from that position really. Salah’s form in front of goal recently has been poor.
We just weren’t clinical. Madrid were when it mattered.
But Jota hasn’t been in form and Mane doesn’t look right on the left (I think he’s lost some of his explosiveness which made him so good as a winger). Jota’s not scored in a long time now. That's what I'm saying his form was against rather poor teams. Carlo started Kroos over Camavinga and didn't even sub him early. Even though Kroos looked poor at times individually knowing your teammates next move is essential in these games and makes a massive difference. You don't need a lot of "overall play" in these games, you need goals regardless of how they come and Jota has scored a bunch of goals for you lot this season. TAA didn't have a single target in the box when he had open chances to cross and the closest they came from a cross was fecking Thiago of all people making the run. Meanwhile Jota has been an easy target to have in the box all season.
