Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

He is obviously very committed to his current contract, which I admire him for. Thing is, they will have to sack him next season if this keeps up.

If Klopp carries on picking teams like he did against Fulham and losing games then maybe Liverpool will sack him, pay up his contract and he will still be available for the Germany gig . He could be in sabotage mode to force Liverpools hand .

There's no way Liverpool are sacking him, so don't get your hopes up

Based on what’s happened so far, you’re right.

Who’s to say where this current rut bottoms out, though? Three or four more losses in the next five or six games? No wins in their next six or seven games? That’s when the sack becomes a real possibility and not just idle speculation.

I still disagree. This season is basically a write off for them, so assuming they don't make the CL spots, the actual finish is pretty irrelevant. If they crash and burn next season as well then maybe a sack comes into the equation, but highly unlikely they'll do as poorly as they did this season.

IMO they'll spend a bit of money this summer on a Firmino replacement, have VVD + Gomez back and kick on again.

He spent too much time worrying about other teams (us mostly), and complaining (as always), that he wasn't focused on just getting the job done. That combined with them probably stopping cycling, and/or a burnout and you have what you have. Without Champions League, and an other huge cash injection like they did around 2017/2018, then they might be in a tricky place that he can't recover from.

Glorious.

This promoted ad just appeared in my Twitter feed. I sense a meme. And lots of chocolate bars thrown at Klopp when fans are allowed back in.

And is there anything he won’t advertise?

I don't know why, but there's something weird about managers being in a bunch of commercials like these.

Ugh, I feel like Roy Keane now.

Someone needs to edit this with him shouting move to Trent after a collection of errors.

Yeah Liverpool maybe face a real dilemma this summer the obvious reaction is write this season off as a one off. But if it isn't and they start next season badly then they face the prospect of having to sack their most successful manager in 40 years. That won't go down well with their fan base who seem to form a cult like worship around their managers. I'm sure it's crossed the minds of a few at Liverpool if it wouldn't be better that he walks away this summer by mutual consent. If things don't improve then the only other option is a Brian Clough scenario.

I must have terrible hearing. Gist of what he’s saying?
Klopp: To run such a show not to whistle for a foul is very bad, absolutely unfair. UNFAIR, its the worst
Ref: Talking to me like that is also unfair

I'm only done German to secondary level , buyt unless my teachers were useless, he said you are getting death threats and your family will be in trouble, get us a goal

Its not brought up enough that Kieta has been practically a flop for Liverpool.

Good translation. Ganz = very... schlimm = bad

My German is schrecklich

Strange stadium? Were there clowns running around on the sidelines? Besides Klopp, I mean?

Death threats incoming for the Alfredo Di Stefano stadium from the scousers.

I mean plenty of people bring it up, it’s just easier to look past when you’re winning things. He was atrocious tonight and didn’t bother, sadly when you’ve been saying a player needs a run of games for going on 3 years it’s probably never going to work out.

I think we might move him on, if someone else can keep him fit they’ve got a potentially exceptional midfielder on their hands but I don’t really see it working for him here. He can’t stay fit enough and a performance like that is incredibly damaging. It’s a shame as he usually does do very well when he plays.

That he does well when he plays is a total myth. He has about 1 good game in 3, and there's nothing from his Liverpool career that suggests he's "exceptional"

Kieta is proper Liverpool signing. They hype him up to the moon and then he does feck all.

Pretty sure this place hyped him up as much if not more than we did. Massive flop. I've defended him before but it's been three years. Doesn't offer anything when he plays.

Our fans have a weird obsession with Keita.
