Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

Klopp hadn’t the balls to come in after Ferguson and try continue the legacy of relentless success. He just didn’t fancy it. He preferred to bide his time and go to a club with less pressure for success and when the Liverpool job came up, he jumped at it. He spent very little in his first few seasons and thus, expectations were tempered. He’s spent an absolute fortune now, however, so he has to deliver titles. If this goes tits-up this season and Liverpool end up potless again, big questions will be asked.
Only crazy people question managers after 90 + point seasons.

He won the double in Dortmund in 2012 and then got to the European Cup final with them in 2013. He was never going to leave Dortmund in 2013 to take over at United, to say he didn't have the balls to do it is just bitter.

Madrid were also reputedly interested in him yet he swerved the Berbabeu as well. Say what you like about managers such as Moyes, Benitez, Lopetegui etc. going to these clubs which huge expectation to win every year but ultimately proving failures, but at least they had the bottle to do it.

nice fanfiction, brah

In my (bitter) opinion, klopps headless chickens will always be found out vs an elite passing team who can deal with pressure.

Like city, they bully their opponents physically and if they make a mistake they tactically foul to recover from the counter attack.

I dont think his style at pool will win a champions league even though they can bully everyone in the prem. Nobody on the continent seems to have the quality to counter attack them successfully

It reads like the intro to an underdog film.

Someone is swiftly moving the goal posts here, he doesn't speak Spanish which is why Madrid wasn't an option.

Fecking prat.

That's worse than 'he could have killed the boy' and any other embarrassing Fergie whopper.

I wish we had a manager that cuddled our players, runs down the touchline when we score and laughs psychotically when a reporter asks him a question just like Jurgen.

The laughing when he’s asked a question...what the feck is that about? Why not just wait and hear what you’re being asked and laugh if it’s funny, not just for the sake of it. Weirdo. God I despise him. The big reason I pray Liverpool don’t win the league. Can’t stand him.

Everything is funny when you are winning...or its drugs

He's destroyed redcafe... some called him a fraud. Others laughed at him and deemed him a failure... Mourinho is better a few said... or maybe it's another episode of wishful thinking that a rival got a loser, but seems like we did.

Knew he should have been ours. Don't think he was ever that interested though, he seems to love it there and wants to rebuild the empire. Knock us off our perch.

Pretty much. Remember when some laughed for saying he will be successfull with them. He likes being at an outsider club with big history and brings them back the glory days.

Yes. If he loses this one questions will be asked. It's theirs to lose at this point.
You can say so but if City were to go in a run like they did in the first half of last season(55 points), it'd difficult to blame them for coming second.

This is his 4th season at Liverpool and he has not won a single thing yet. This season is not over so they might still be laughing come may.

Yes, 4th season but unlike my very own PSG or Man City, their owners have a different vision of what is success nowdays.

They didnt invest on buying instant success but rather invested on the right man, they gave him time and enough money to get where they are now, no matter how long it took them to get them where they are, he have the trust and the backing of the owners.

He did the same in Germany, won two titles and almost a CL with healthy investment, not that he didnt spend tons of money at Liverpool but its clear to me that you will need more money to compete in the Premier League where you battle with five big clubs than in the Bundesliga.

I'm not so sure, given they're on a run of their own. Losing this league together with all those lost finals.
Well hopefully he'll lose it so we can talk about it. :D

Say what you want, but if you go by what he said, about Woodward saying we are the Disney land for adults, then he was rightfully turned off, I'd have laughed in Woodward's face.

I personally don't like Klopp, the way he acts, but he prefers clubs that are underdogs, not behemoth like United and Real, and that isn't a bad thing, he beat Bayern with Dortmund, and seemingly going to win the EPL competing against two oil run clubs and United, that's a huge feat, he just likes to be seen as the underdog.

Fecking hell what a plum. It’s going to be glorious when it all starts to go wrong.

Phenomenal manager it has to be said. Let's hope he snatches defeat from the jaws of victory by the end of the season.

He hasn’t won anything to be fair. The talk about him is getting extremely cringe worthy.

Oh, cmon with the discussions and yeye he's a good manager. We know this. The man said he almost cried when Salah gave Firmino a pen ffs :lol::lol: Not even Pool fans can defend that.

It's so obvious that you're not serious, though. Next time take down a notch/mask it better. ;)

Nah I think the fact he's a quality manager stands whether or not they win the title - he's done a great job there regardless. Whether he's a top tier manager ala Pep or Jose is yet to be established - he needs to win the title to do that.

To be honest, the narrative on here that he's shit only came about after he became the Liverpool manager.

Before that people on here were having wet dreams about him and his Dortmund team.

I was one of them. Wanted him as first choice along with Pep.. he plays football in a manner befitting Manchester United as much as it pains me to say it.

People make it sound like he hasnt won anything in his career so far. He dominated German football for a few years and had two surprise and excellent CL campaigns. He is miles ahead of Pochettino, who the majority of the forum wants here in the summer. Once he breaks his title drought at Pool, and that seems to happen this season, there is no stick left to beat him with. Then we have to see if he can sustain that success. He is a twat, no doubt, but a very good manager and he knows what he is doing football wise.

He is obviously a fine manager but this is Brendan Rodgers levels of cringe.

His last big successes predates Mourinho and we were told time and time again football has moved on from even Jose's last league win.
Klopp has to win something this year, if he throws it away then major questions must be asked of him.

What's up with their players, fans and manager all get emotional anytime something good is brewing? I swear this is something I never see from other clubs, you could sense the excitement by the way their fans are reacting as if it's already done.

Plenty to play for yet, don't count your chickens.

This has potential to top 2013/14 if they blow it at the end of May, let's see.

Klopp's football is modern and good to watch, always has been. So i dont know how football has moved on when someone reached the CL final last season and is leading the league by 9 points. He can also stay longer at a club than 2 and a half years.

Liverpool press hard and bully teams out of possession, couple that with hard work and it's a great (& obvious?) platform for success. What they've lacked is the personnel, which they now seem to have. Klopp's free pass has meant he's not had much scrutiny or pressure from the press so he's been given more time than Pep or Jose was to get this right.
