Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

Moaning about tiredness
International friendlies
Injuries

Praising his teams defending
And how they stopped city at home

Lucky for him he’s not mourinho & gets a free ride from the press

Not lucky at all, just look at the league table and you'll know why the press aren't after him. Plays entertaining football and doesn't kick off with the press or throw players under the bus.

The press have no reason to go after him yet

Utd were joint top when they went to Anfield last season and Jose got crucified for a dull 0-0. Maybe Klopp doesn't kick off with the press as much because they aren't prodding him all the time.

Wasn’t that a turning point for United last season though? You were top going into that game I think, and after that draw City started to run away with it?

The tiredness after Europe point was stretched too.

I remember united playing Chelsea away in a huge title chasing match at the end of the season sandwiched between two Barca CL semis and three games in six days

Today Liverpool’s pressing game was blamed for them being tired aswell as their euro match, although man city also travelled away and were under pressure to win too

Liverpool in much better shape than us obviously but the excuses and free rise he gets from the press is interesting

He got criticism for this tactics he hardly got crucified. Subsequent games he continued with his defensive approach after playing proper attacking football in the previous games.

Mourinho is hardly universally loved by your fans either, he's an easy target.

His team is too reliant on energy. Today they struggled to outrun City and it showed. They looked flat. It's difficult to compete for the league if you have to outrun the rivals in order to get something. Still, they will have a good campaign. 85 pts are a possibility.
Yeah and they spent it all in the first 20 mins or so!

Yep, they're a full...zero points behind Chelsea and City.
They aint making that up

You mean the same City that missed a penalty in the last few minutes and wasn't given another penalty?
and the same Chelsea that they needed a last minute wondergoal to salvage an undeserved draw?

Yeah, I'll link back to this when they don't win the league this season, don't worry.

Anyone get the feeling that they've peaked? They have few more better players than last year but they are playing less convincingly than previous year.

Don't mistake me for a Liverpool fan. It'd be a football disaster if they win it.
But it can't be overlooked that they've just got through two tough games without defeat and are joint top.

Why is everyone looking at this game from a Liverpool perspective. Pep must be over the moon. The one fixture he dreads is out of the way and they breezed through it.

Well this is a conundrum. We could put it up to a vote about what he really is, but I reckon it'd speedily devolve into a "you take him, he's a liverpool fan" "no you take him, clearly united" argument.

It takes just 2 mins to search one of his posts to show he isn't Liverpool fan.

City have always struggled against Liverpool, so before the match, Pep would have taken the draw, all day long.
Liverpools reputation for high energy, swashbuckling football never materialised and City pissed it and were very unlucky not to have won the game.

Are you telling me we don't even have to take him on weekends on odd weeks? No paternity test needed? That'd be grand.

But he's saying that he is , when it's quite obvious he isn't. Pretty pathetic to be honest, think he's here to simply troll.

Saw this quote from him over the weekend:

Klopp: "I really think the most important thing for football is entertaining the people. We don’t save lives, we don’t create anything, we are not good in surgeries, we are only good in football. If we would not entertain the people, why would we play it then?"

Sucks that it has to be the manager of our greatest enemy who recognizes this.

What happened in the last 75mins of yesterday? Had he forgot saying it, already? - :D

To win.

Winning boring as our default doesn't do it for me mate. Once in a while it's fine, but it can't be our primary means. Anyway, not the thread to discuss this. Just wanted to share a quote that resonated with me.

Shows how far ahead of us they are now that they get stick for only drawing with City and being joint top after 8 games having played City, Spurs and Chelsea. They play a load of shit now and can rotate. Depressing.

Yes, maybe. But it's also a bit of respite from them winning by 3 or 4 every week inside of the first 20 minutes, :).

Think Busby said something similar. It's a sentiment I agree with.

Actually I think this game bodes well for City in Europe. They'll go far with this tweak in their toolbox to nullify the counterattack.

Shame he didn’t bother trying to entertain anyone over the weekend.

The awe of klopp is strange. He undoubtedly gets teams playing good football., it’s not in question. He also hasn’t won’t anything at all since 2012 and has two big trophies in his entire career. His strongest team for a long time is the one he has spent an absolute fortune on. Something there just doesn’t tally with the notion that he’s some sort of game changing contemporary coach. It just doesn’t fit that a front running visionary coach that we should be lucky to have won’t have won a trophy in 7 YEARS if he gets one in May.

They played their natural game and went at City. I saw a team trying to attack City, not set up to contain them.
It was the most boring entertaining football I’ve seen in a long time then. Liverpool play for scraps and quick counter attacks from it. If they can’t do it they’re no more entertaining than most in the league. They’re happy to sit back and defend a lead.

He is perfect for Liverpool in this regard. They haven’t won a thing since what, 2013? I will have to google it.

Edit - Here we go.

For the astroturfers, as long as you mindlessly spend your money on the club, they don't care. :)

Btw, I always supported them since the days of Houllier until I actually saw how racist some actually were. Now there's a bit of ambivalence. I've never been a Man Utd supporter though but I respect them.

So you supported Liverpool since the Houllier days then suddenly decided some Liverpool fans were racists (most clubs have at least some racist elements in their support based on my observations), and now you're anti-Liverpool and don't really support anyone?
