Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

Reach a final with a Dortmund side that not go into a final since the 97' is called all but no a failure.

And again, he took the team of Brendan Rodgers and reach a final of EL. Now, is 90 mins away of making back Liverpool in a CL final.

Sucess is not only visible when you win trophys.

Yeah it is.

Nice clear thread title in prep for his next bit of nonsense

He'll prattle endlessly about the ''handball", make think veiled criticisms about the ref and get away with, it as usual.

Didn't watch the match, but i assume Stoke didn't play a suicidal high line that gave Liverpool space to exploit the long ball (a la Roma).

Yep, its quite easy to nullify Liverpool; hence why they have drawn so many games to teams that play defensively and try to nick a goal or two at the end of games.

They have 12 draws in the league!

Just makes Roma's performance even more frustrating.

There wasn't the getting the line up all the time approach no, but they did try & clear their own box out from what I saw. Seemed to play it very sensibly. Roma backline were just pushing out & then pushing out some more isn't it? - regardless of any aspect of the play occurring in front of them, really

Roma at times played their back line on the half way line, very similar to Man City who also got torn to shreds by Liverpool.

Yeah, 2 of all those sodding goals, almost identical for that, innit? - :(

Yes, Salah made a run from his own half into the space behind the left-back. Happened against both Roma and City and both resulted in a goal.

The injuries and lack of depth are showing. Points dropped vs Everton, WBA and Stoke after CL games. We may be close to the CL final but selling Coutinho in January and having Ings and Solanke as our go to options is still indefensible.

I don't think this all that great an achievement since they didn't win it. When you give up on the league and put all your eggs in one basket you don't deserve praise for coming 2nd best.

Mourinho took the risk and played a blinder in the final. Nobody would be praising him for taking LvG's squad and losing in the EL final if he had though.

What's that shite about Klopp willing to wait for the Ox like wife waits for his husband in prison? Has this been discussed here , can't be arsed to search back now...

Roma were just incredibly naive. Really dumb and they paid a big price for it.

Bloody baffling that we have a player with 40 plus goals one with almost 30 and one with almost 20 and yet are somehow in a top 4 race.

If I were a Pool fan, I would only want Van Dyke and Robertson from the defense and midfield. I would want a whole new midfield. You are still playing Lovren which is a big problem as well.

Clyne getting fit to rotate with TAA will help . I'm happy with Karius but VVD needs a partner. Agree on robbo . The no6 position is the priority for me. Henderson looks good when the team looks good, he looks commanding but in these games he's woeful.
Keita and Jorginho would be a massive help. Would take Fabinho if we want to go more defensive. There's Neves too. So a couple options but it needs a 're jig.

Getting Jorginho will be a monumental task for anyone that wants to sign him. The chairman of Napoli is said to be a supervillain version of Daniel Levy.

What's happened to Can? Keita + Can + Jorginho would be a great midfield. I think Keita is not enough, If Liverpool get another top midfielder in I see them as a dark horse for the league (City are favorites for me next season).

Let us hope they don't wise up and spot the monumental bargain that is N'Zonzi.

Can is great but he doesn't exactly fit in any position. At the 6 he fails to track back despite his insistence he's a defensive midfielder. His lack of awareness much like Henderson's is a massive flaw especially in that position. At the 8 he lacks agility. I'd love to keep him tbh he's already good and there's still room for growth but this injury means he's not back till around the end of the season, same with Lallana. Ox is next season now.
No idea what Klopp will do over the summer. Added depth in attacking areas is a must though and quality ones. We need tweaks to build a title winning side it's a much different challenge than Europe especially in the English league.

I’d say TAA and Karius have been mostly good over the last few months. Milner is a useful player as is Wijnaldum. It’s always overstated just how ‘bad’ some of our players actually are.

We need another CB to play alongside Van Dijk.

Yeah bit of a prick but I imagine he'll sell between 50-70 pretty much the going rate , mad as it is.

Don't think you are in a Top 4 race...yet. Still 3 points ahead of Chelsea and that's assuming the latter even win both their games in hand. Very few games left then for Liverpool to bottle it.

Wait till Chelsea actually win their games in hand before worrying.

Your players aren't bad, but the next step for Liverpool is to win the league. Henderson and Milner are squad players that do a job. TAA is too young to rely on for a whole season, he will have games where he'll cost you so you need that experience. I would want Clyne to play over TAA.

You have lots of players filling a function, rather than providing you with function and quality. It's unfortunate that Lallana has been injured because I feel that he had that quality that you need in midfield. Of course Coutinho also provided that quality but he's gone.

Yeah you're right and considering the injuries I'll take 4th and hopefully we'll push on in the summer. Easy to forget we've played an entire season without Lallana too. Just a tad grating with some of the football we've played at times.
