To be fair this 'they wanted to win, we wanted to play football' kind of reminds me of the 'Hazard would have more goals if he wanted but he rather wants to dribble' bullshit spouted by Chelsea fans some time ago.

Actually that was said by Hazard himself if I remember correctly.
Christ, even worse.
That's his quotes. He doesn't say he wants to dribble but definitely that he can score goals like Messi and Ronaldo but doesn't want to:
"I often ask myself what I can do to become like Messi and Ronaldo and score 50 or 60 goals in a season," he told Sport/Foot Magazine.
"I try of course but I realise that I will never be a true scorer. It's not in me. It is mainly mental.
"At 2-0, not thinking that is enough for example. Sometimes I still think after a goal, 'that's enough.'
"I'm not in search of records like some other players -- if I can score between 15 and 20 goals each season, I will be very happy.
"I'm at a peak of my career but I want to become even better every day. I'm not there yet."
most didn't dislike him even *when* he became Liverpool manager:To all the Liverpool fans saying "well you didn't dislike him before he become Liverpool Manager". No, you're right, the majority of us didn't and this is why.
Just watched the BT sport interview he did. He really is such a likable man, it is a shame he went to Liverpool.
Criticizing Liverpool fans.
I'm really trying hard to hate the man but he doesn't make it easy at times
As each game goes by I find myself getting more annoyed that we didn't go for him.
He's a top class manager, and will have Liverpool fighting it out in the top 4 without a doubt. Absolutely gutted they have a better manager then us.

He's hardly saying he could score more if he wanted to. He's pretty much saying he doesn't have it in him to score more.
Have German based fans always saw what we are seeing now?
Have a feeling Hoffenheim will dick them out of Europe.
Can't wait for the meltdown if that happens.
The wind will take care of that.Whole town of Hoffenheim will probably defend in their box.
What a bellend.
Hard to find a german with a neutral stance hereHave German based fans always saw what we are seeing now?
To all the Liverpool fans saying "well you didn't dislike him before he become Liverpool Manager". No, you're right, the majority of us didn't and this is why.
When he was managing Dortmund we had absolutely no visibility of his antics or behaviour, all most of us saw was a Dortmund team which occasionally managed to knock Bayern off of their perch with some lovely counter attacking, if ultimately flawed football. It was great to watch his Dortmund team in Europe and watch an expensively relatively unchallenged Bayern team get beaten.
However, now we have localised media coverage of him berating officials and get see his cringe worthy interviews. We also get to see up close his face contorted in rage on the sidelines, not only screaming at fourth officials but now going out of his way to bring up Manchester United in interviews to try and cover his shortcomings. He brought up an offiside assist and now blathers on about us beating Ajax completely out of the blue. When we bought Pogba he said something along the lines of "the day we spend that much on a footballer is the day I quit football that's not how I work" and then they go and bid 80mil on Keita. He comes across as a hypocrite and he's making himself a target for rival fans with comments like this and inviting ire and dislike. Add to that his cringey celebration of draws at Norwich et al and he becomes a figure of comic relief.
It's not like we're suddenly hating on him purely because he got the Liverpool gig, it's a combination of the above.
Nah most people in Germany actually liked him unless they were Bayern fans. It's the same dynamic as here with us this time, rival clubs and he is good at riling people up.

Understandably, everyone who is not a Bayern supporter was happy about BVB giving us a run for our money. This created a situation where mediagenic, witty, charming Kloppo could get away with murder. The whining, excuse-making and lashing out at everyone when things didn't go his way were always there for anyone caring to watch. Not many did.

I was going to reply to you saying that he never said that, then you brought the quote yourself but you still misinterpreted it.That's his quotes. He doesn't say he wants to dribble but definitely that he can score goals like Messi and Ronaldo but doesn't want to:

I never understood the hype about him even when he was at Dortmund. I always wonder if he was doing well in Dortmund during his last season, would he have left? Why did he leave Dortmund? It's cowardice and irresponsible of him to leave them when he left them languishing in 7th and they had their worst season. Says a lot about his character and this is why I don't get why his stock was still so high after he left. He is the epitome of a specialist in losing cup finals. Even Wenger and Benitez have a better cup final record than him. I'm pretty sure if you put Benitez in charge of Liverpool's recent cup finals, he would have won. Klopp is an overrated maniac who makes up for his tactic deficiency with his whole hipster vibe.I hope so, very strange behaviour and it's become really negative all the time with him. His stock was still pretty high before he signed for pool all things considered. I think losing the Europa final really forced him to realize that he's not some footballing God who revolutionized the game. His record of final loses is staggering and a huge stain on his managerial record.
I highly doubt so. My Dad is a Bayern fan and he loves him, it seems that most Bayern fans on here always defend him as well.Nah most people in Germany actually liked him unless they were Bayern fans. It's the same dynamic as here with us this time, rival clubs and he is good at riling people up.
Remind me how many members on this forum again, and you pulled out 4 examples? If you are going to claim 'most' then back it up with an example from each of the majority of members, an absolute monster of a task I know, but don't make this claim with piss poor so called evidence from 4 posters.most didn't dislike him even *when* he became Liverpool manager:
Klopp is proably a nice guy as a manger he is definitely overrated. Not saying he isn't good but Liverpool fans pretend that he is a world class tactician. Klopp has no clue on how to unlock a defense unless they are just wide open. He has one way of playing and that's pressing which against a big team may work but over a competitive 30 plus game season doesn't. That's why he always gets injuries and when a team has a small squad like Liverppol does, you need a plan b to allow rest othwerwise you fall.
Klopp will never win the premier league with Liverpool for many reason, the way he plays but factor's in the season may allow it to not matter, liverpool's owners only care about money and not building an empire which means as soon as a player gets good the big clubs come in with a big bid and they sell like that. Klopp doesn't have a clue about signings at all, he doesn't realize that they need a defender and is so focused on van djik he doesn't realize that there are other better centre backs.
