Yeah, insane.
Klopp's clearly done a very good job taking circumstances into consideration.
LVG did not, in any way, do a very good job.
While I'm not van Gaal's biggest fan, and I think he needed to go when he did (I also think he's become far too conservative in his football as he's aged), I feel that's a little harsh on him.
In his first season he got a top 4 finish, and in his 2nd he won the F.A Cup.
Klopp has thus far achieved neither, and in my opinion, it shouldn't be viewed as a given that he'll achieve either this season.
There is a lot of hype around Liverpool this season, and if I was a Liverpool fan I'd be wary of it.
Despite what the dippers on here say, they are a team under Klopp who will
always struggle as the season goes on - that's the reason why Klopp bemoans the X-mas fixtures so much, because he knows that
his team suffers particularly from them.
They might cling on to a top 4 place this season, but that's what it'll be - clinging on. The notion of a title push, was, yet again, way too early and will leave them feeling deflated.
And indeed they might win a cup, in fact, I'd be more confident in them winning a cup than them finishing in the top 4.
