The biggest reason why Bellingham in discussion and tips of his dad were choosing Dortmund over United because of playing time. Promise and quarantue of playing time.
And that evaluation from Bellingham and his dad were right. Dortmund is club that buy upcoming big young talents, let them play regular and sell them for a lot more money.

I would do the same as Bellingham if i was him.

United had Pobga as the creative offensive box to box role. At the time he said no to United. Do you think United would bench or rotate Pobga really often with a 16/17 years old kid?

And the boy did got a lot of playing time with Dortmund. And with regular playing time + with really good teammates at Dortmund. 2 nd best team in Bundesliga. Not a unsteady team and ship.

Sum up : Regular playing time + really good teammates/football players = he rise and develop his football skill and confidence = Correct good choice.
Compare to the norwegian super talents Martin Odegaard who chosed Real Madrid whom had Bale as his peak as theirs RW.

So to others upcoming really good talents. Analyze the XI and squad of the team that is offering a contract before signing for them. See your chance to get playing time. Because regular playing time. Get a manager that believe in your abilities and qualities. Beside the qualities of your future teammates. Both those factors would help your development. To the better. Again, in this case and get my 100 support. His dad did the right move to his son. A clever decision. 100 %
 
Spend 70million on Bellingham, 60 million on K.Philips and spunk another 50million on a young Centre Back with pace and power to partner Varane.

Tielemans at this time is better skillful. But the guts, engine and drive of Belllingham + the British fighting spirit (naturally). The reason why i would choose Bellingham over Tielemans.

I woke up Tielemans thread again. But after that. Weeks and months later. After taking a closer look at Bellingham. At 18. He has the ability to pass players easily, when he first decide to explode from the start = acceleration. Same as C.Ronaldo at that age. Due to the age. Ronaldo hardly beat and pass players.
Bellingham has the top speed and acceleration. Beside his physical and basic ball skills. Its no doubt Bellingham football ability. Definitely in the category of a creative offensive nr.8. Not as ballwinner nr.6/allround deeplaying cm player.

Again. I rate Tielemans really high. Before he was 20 too. Before he joined Leicester. But Bellingham on his max level. The max pontential. Make i pick Bellingham over Tielemans. And i only pick one for the nr.8 spot. The other nr.6. Get to one with more defenive abilities and more balance cm player.

United should be big enough to not take it personally. When a boy and his dad were choosen playing time as their reason to say no to United.

Even Pobga left United for nothing. And came back with world record price. And if Pobga is leaving this summer. The player from the first place. That his dad and him hard to see, to get more playing time over. Can be the reason this time. Because without Pogba creative. United is screaming and need for a top and world class nr.8....as closest as possible.

The planet I am on mate is when hes up for sale in 2023 Newcastle will have had 2 more transfer windows and will undoubtably spend big on a load of players. They wont have to worry about salaries and if you are Jude Bellingham and its a choice of City Liverpool Newcastle or us, we wont even be in the discussion.

I doubt Newcastle will go for the typical Man Utd player who is English, extremely expensive, and may have a high potential/ceiling. It makes more sense for them to go for players ready to contribute right away at 30m - 40m price range.

I think with their owners money they will look straight away at the big names as salary wont be a problem. Certainly after another season. They will want to be challenging asap.
Its not exactly similar, but look how Blackburn went after the big name players as soon as Walker started funding them and how they started challenging for the top.

There is zero sign point to that direction otherwise they won't hire Howe as head coach and Dan Ashworth as DOF. I am not even sure if Bellingham is a big name.
 
We’re a joke of a club and I doubt a player like a sought after player like Bellingham will put us top of his list. We lucked out with Sancho as city, Liverpool and Chelsea either didn’t need him or weren’t ready to pay over the odds for him. Bellingham will have plenty of suitors and I don’t think playing Europa or the conference league next season will tempt him. We’re fecked for the foreseeable future and will need to dig for diamonds in the rough, which we haven’t been good at for years.

Dortmund won't sell this summer unless they get silly money-100mil plus.

It will be summer 2023 when he has 2 years left on his contract that they will be more likely to sell.

Nobody bar Newcastle would pay 100 mill for him. City could, but I doubt they will after the grealish transfer. He’s an excellent midfield talent but he’s still far too young to prefect the trajectory of his career. He could level out where he is.

70million is probably a fairer price, I wouldn’t mind us signing him and I do think he’d be interested but I don’t see it happening.
 
I also saw a clip where Bellingham is berating one of his team mates for making a poor pass into him. But after watching the passage of play, I think the pass wasn't bad and should've been controlled by Bellingham.

Until the date. I found. Clearly better options.

Have to be objective. If its a new kid out there who are better than those 2. Challenge them up VS. Yeah put them up for the challenge.

But if you are using 433 with 3 cm midfield. That is another case.

I suggested to 2 boys for 4411 or 442 formation.

With 433 and total football. I am seeing there are upcoming talents for LCM and RCM role for the 433 role like.

The youngs Barca kids. Not sure how realistic and such a big club like Barca will sell theirs next big players.

Pedri and Gavi:

Bellingham/Gavi - Tchouaméni/Frenkie de Jong - Pedri

Pedri as LCM. If Pedri keep improving. That boy can become really really good in the future. Pedri will never suit as CM in CM duo 444 formation. The boy is a natural LCM player. Reason why he is at club which are using 433, dutch and total football formation.

In others words. Not LCM and RCM players suit in a double CM formation. But otherwise a creative nr.8 in 442 formation can suit one of the LCM and RCM role.

Example. Can you imagine Iniesta as one of two CM players. Never for Barca or Spain. Iniesta born naturally as a LCM or LW.
DVBeek might and will never a world class nr.8 in 442 formation too.

But back to Bellingham. I have that top engine, drive, guts, speed and fighting spirit in him = a dominance presence = you can smell and oze it. And his basic ball abilities are really high too. The combination football = where to lay the pass exactly where your teammates want it. As most precisely as possible. Both speed and place.
 
I really want Bellingham move heaven and earth for this kid. I think we might need two midfielders though because the Fred and McTominay combo isn't good enough against actual quality teams.

Sounds very arrogant. You listen when a good pro like Witsel speaks. Don't want him anywhere near Old Trafford if this is what he's like. We have enough wankers at our club as it is.

Another big billy bollocks that hasn't won anything, yet behaves like prime Neymar. Would fit right in with our lot.

Ronaldo also mentioned that some of our "younger stars" aren't taking advice. I wonder if it's a new generation thing where younger players think they are the next Pele because of social media.

Yep, I've referenced it before but was shot down. I think he sounds far too jumped up for his age.
 
I saw him giving loads of shit to one of his teammates in one of their recent games. I'm fine with that but you have to be a damn good player yourself and not making many mistakes. From the quote above about Witsel, it sounds like Bellingham still has some tactical naivety to iron out.

His raking stamp on the goal post seemed a bit odd or over the top when the keeper made a good save from his shot at close range.
 
Fantastic player but certainly does love a moan. As others have mentioned, it would be interesting how that would go down in our current side.

Would be perfect as the box to box 8 in a 4231 if we were to get ETH. The way he naturally drifts into that left channel to create overloads is very reminiscent of Gravenberch's role at Ajax.

I don‘t think anybody that is not a Dortmund supporter thinks he is likeable. A lot of cnutish fouling and complaining/moaning going on.
 
He’s excellent. Attitude doesn’t really concern me. Easier to tame someone a little too passionate than to jee up someone not bothered or only money focused.

This is why I think we only need 1 CM (a DM) this Summer rather than 2. Fred, McTominay and Garner/Mejbri are fine for this slot while we wait a year for Bellingham to likely become available. This year, buy a ST (or 2), RW, DM and replacements in our back 4 if Maguire/AWB/Shaw/Bailly can be sold. Next year, go all in on Bellingham.

Nothing wrong with holding people to a certain standard. The only issue is you've got to be better than them and pretty flawless regularly to hold it up.

The likes of Keane/Scholes/ Giggs were all quite moany but played at such a high level they got away with it. You can't really be a hypocrite.

By all accounts he’s moaning at everything which is not a good sign at 18 and you’re only around the first team for a year. Not saying I wouldn’t take him though.
 
Moaning after someone misplaced a pass or could have passed it better is not that bad.

Ronaldo and Bruno sometimes moan when they're the ones doing the mistakes, which is a completely different thing.

What I find absolutely crazy is that, according to the internet fans, players can't moan, they can't go on a vacation after they've lost a game, they can't do anything that doesn't satisfy the absolute godlike standards set by today's supporters.
