Jose Mourinho | Spurs manager

At every club he's been at since 2002, Mourinho has won trophies. Will he win one at Spurs?

I don't get all the criticism, this isn't his team, lets see whats players he buys in the summer and what team he tries to build

What did he say?
That he(Ndombele) didn’t show up for the ball so they had to play long balls, and that he needs to adjust to the league quickly, Jose can’t keep giving him chances after poor performances. All that after he told the reporter that he “can’t talk” about the reasons why their first half was poor. Never specifically named Ndombele but made it very obvious who he was talking about.

N'Dombele seems to be his new 'Pogba'. A player who he has no idea how to use so he will blame as much on him as possible. The funny thing is that the apparent 'good' second half from Spurs was pretty shite too and Burnley should have a penalty and won the game comfortably.

He also said he didn't mean Skipp. The only other player that came off was Ndombele so was pretty obvious who he wasn't happy with.

"isn't his team" is such a weird defense. At which point does the team become his?

Managers are supposed to, you know, manage.

Every manager has to work with a set of players and make the best of it. You cannot wait till every manager has his complete eleven before passing judgement.

of course, but how many of that squad would he have bought? I think its way to early for him to be sacked

He spent half the interview moaning about Ndombele. He started throwing in a subtle dig and when the interviewer starting digging he just literally went on a rant.

Don’t miss this rubbish and glad he’s doing the same thing to a rival

A few probably, he was chasing Dier and Aldeweireld when he was at United. And he seems hell bent on letting Dier prove himself as useless still. While throwing Ndombele under the bus after tonights game.
But as has been pointed out above: you need to manage the squad you get.
Especially at Spurs when it was pretty clear from the beginning that he would have to work with the squad at hand. They will have no transfer budget this summer either and he took the gig knowing just that.
I agree with you that its way too early for him to be sacked though. Please all football gods, let him remain at Spurs.

Anyone saying he's right doesn't get it.
How does coming out with this help his situation?

By placing the blame firmly upon somebody not named Jose Mourinho, of course.

So it's free pass to be shit until the team becomes "his"? You're yet to answer at which point that happens by the way?

Judging by his terrible signings here, quite a few! I'm pretty he sure he wanted us to sign the likes of Rose, Dier, Alderwiereld.

And if that's not his team then Spurs should be worried. Whatever he will add to make that team his will be a downgrade.

Had a quick look at the Spurs subreddit and it seem like everyone is agreeing with Jose post-match comments about Ndombele. He is lazy and hasn't had the same impact as Lo Celso had so he is rightfully criticised.

Either way, I don't agree with publicly criticising your players no matter how bad they are. Keep it within the dressing room and avoid creating a toxic environment. Poor Ndombele, he probably just needs time to adapt like Fred did.

He doesn't make the job easier for himself, does he? Always throwing some player or the other under the bus.

Ndombele is clearly struggling with the pace of the league and maybe a bit of performance anxiety, but he's clearly very talented and Jose needs to be patient with him.

He's clearly made him his scapegoat of why they're not winning - it's always somebody else's fault.

Spurs fans are still backing him because of his name, and that it's "early". This sort of stuff won't change and it'll only get worse, 90% of our fans made the same mistakes believing his BS.

When I was a teenager a mate started going out with a girl who everyone knew had cheated on every boyfriend she’d had.
We all said don’t do it she’ll do the same again but he thought differently.
After a few weeks (quite a long time when you are a teenager!) rumours started coming out that she’d done xyz with some other bloke at a party.

My mate = Tottenham fans
The girl = jose
My mate’s friends = United fans

we all know how this ends........

Did you get your chance with her though ?

The wheels on the bus go round, round, round
On Ndombele´s head they ran

It's definitely too early for him to be sacked. Spurs have been progressively building something good year on year, and managed to organically get themselves into a pretty decent position. Jose has already started undoing a lot of that good work. I say give him at least another year let him set them back half a decade or so.

Mourinho is a broken record. Come into a new club, pick a fight with a player, play pathetic football, fall out with everyone, get fired. How is anyone suprised. This guy does the same thing everywhere. The next club who hires him must be super desperate

I just don't understand why he's so insistent with his defensive tactics. They have not worked in years overall. Not at RM, Chelsea again, man United. Just fecking adapt and change like saf did. At this point he seems to be treating manager like golf. Just relax and play whatever.

Are we still paying Mou's salary?
Agent M gonna bring Kane and Ndombele to Old Trafford.
