I was making a generalization. This is not figure skating, there are no points awarded for style. Its all about the points column at the end of the dayBut they don’t have the most points...

Even when we won it under him, we only won more than 3 in a row once and that was the first 4 games.I just don't see you doing it tbh. It was same with Mourinho at Man. United, he'd always just play for draws when he got a tough away game just when Man. United were putting together 3-4 winning run and it disrupts momentum. Drew 15 games in 16/17 season. Chelsea who won the league drew 3 all season.
Just had a look at his last league title win at Chelsea in 14/15, Chelsea dropped 9 points by 18 games so that's more the formula you need. They also won 16 out of 19 at home so that's something Liverpool will very likely do. Spurs need to win every single home game left to achieve that so massive pressure as the away wins starting to dry up now.

Correct, that’s my point. They aren’t even the best team in the league on points. The best team in any league is the team with the most points, it's how divisions are decided. You can claim best on the eye but finishing first is what counts.
The setup is not the only issue there is also the approach. With that setup we managed almost double Leipzig's shots because of a positive approach play.5 at the back and 2 defensive midfielders vs. Leipzig says otherwise though.
So far Amadeus appears correct on this one.
That said, Ole’s side is better at playing from and around the back at least.

PR has incredible power. Based on this coverage, you would think Jose was totally blameless for his United spell. It was Pogba’s fault, and the fact that Woodward was located 200 miles away.

By looking at the reactions one would think the manager here would NOT be 2nd in the league (man utd still has to play 1 more game) after losing the away game vs the champion with a goal in extra time in a game where the big chances were balanced, in a club where the objective is top4
What does he need to do to not be ridiculed by (many?) people? Sacrifice someone to the possession-xG cult?
Never did I think I would read a phrase like 'brilliant pettiness' used earnestly. He really does push people to their limits.https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55327660

fecking hell it gets better,
On his joining Spurs: Not only that, there would be no need to spend the majority of his life in a hotel, which became such a major talking point in Manchester.
It makes it sound like someone had a gun to his head. His hotel living situation was one of those little things that added to the rich tapestry of shite while he was here,. He had literally no reason to not buy/rent a house, knew the message staying in a hotel sent, and chose to do it anyway for 2 and a half years like some psychotic.

It's a clever ploy by Utd fans, set the bar for Mourinho at winning the league and if he fails they can claim they were right.
It's funny though because you look at the Predict the Top 6 20/21 in order | RedCafe.net thread and not many had Spurs in the top 4, some not even in the top 6.

I think im coming around to the idea that Spurs are a decent bet for top 4, but i certainly don't think it's a guarantee. Anyone setting the bar at a title is stupid, and probably (understandably) still holding a bit of a grudge against Jose because of how things ended at United

I dont see the point of playing like this is you arent targeting the title.

Nothing is guaranteed, we're only 1/3 of the way through the season and anything could happen from here. I just find it a little strange that after a narrow stoppage time defeat away to the champions where they haven't lost in over three years the rhetoric seems to be that Spurs and Jose are done, it's all over. Especially when Spurs could have won that game and even though they didn't, still sit 2nd in the table.
Winning titles is the only way to accept that brand of football though. Jose history shows it cant be built on season after season, its only for immediate success.Any talk of "targetting" the title is dumb with regard to any club. All clubs try to do the best they can - and where they end up at the end of it all is where they end up.

Say youre out of the title race by the end of February, what enjoyment would there be by having 30 percent of the ball v Villa in a 1-1 draw?
He will be lucky to see Easter.
We really need to have a run of 5/6 wins on the trot to have any hope of staying in the top 4. Based on today I can't see it.That’s really over the top. Jose is having a better season than I expected so far. He could put on a really good run of form.
Yep, keeping players onside and motivated (to play that style) almost exclusively relies on them being in the title race. When the results don’t follow, you’re left with nothing else. It’s why Mourinho eventually crashes and burns; there’s nothing left to defend at that point.
