Death or the gladioli!
Lamela getting sent off would do it for me as well as the above
Prophetic

Honestly Spurs' squad hasn't been great for a while now. I'd actually put Arsenal ahead of them, at least they've admitted their squad needs to recycle and have started blooding young players in, wheres Spurs seem to keep propping up a dying corpse on steroids.

And to think some here would have him back at United. As bad as the football can be at times, his last half season before he got sacked were the worst for me as a United fan.
When he does leave Spurs it'll be the same petulant tantrums.
Any fan who thinks that he should be back here is a blithering idiot. He’s reverting to type and calling out players in public and that won’t sit well with some. Ndombele looked a shadow of the player he is and Jose’s tactics meant he was stifledAnd to think some here would have him back at United. Jose goes through the exact same cycle at every club he's been at, only thing is his cycle(s) tend to exclude the successful bits these days, and skips straight to the meltdown phase/throwing players under the bus and absolving himself from any/all blame. He's very divisive - loads of fans usually side with him over the squad up to a certain point...and even then...
I recall reading a ton of those comments in this very thread, especially after Jose's comments about Ndombele/AlliAnd every club he goes to, so many of the fans believe 'he will change this time' and refuse to listen when fans of his previous club warn them. Then he does what the previous clubs fans warned, then he moves to another club and the above continues with the next set of fans.
He went 4-2-3-1 against City in 2017 with this front 6:Classic Mourinho trick of playing a load attackers in an all out defensive shape then blaming the attackers
I still cannot believe there is a section of the fan base who would have him over Ole.
The Spurs fanbase will never be the same again, just like Utd's. That's another horrible element he brings. Although he's providing so much misery and failure for them so early on, surely less of their fans will stick up for him like so many in our fanbase still do.
That's a load of nonsense. About 85% of Spurs fans didn't want him from the very start - I was in small minority that actually was happy with him coming. Most Spurs fans would be happy to see him leave now - there is not much of a split anymore at all really. You guys seem to have a really odd obsession with ex-managers which I'm very glad to say we don't. We all loved Poch but he's gone now and we wish him well - will be the same when Jose leaves. You guys are so bitter it's weird.
Jermaine Jenas was scathing of Mourinho tactics in his BBC article. Its straightjacket football for his forwards against bigger teams. Give Bielsa a front four of Son, Bale, Kane and Moura and they would all be into double digits for goals and assists.
Said it before, Serie A is the natural home for Mourinho and his straightjacket football.
Pretty sure I was guilty of this, in my defence I thought we were going to have a rubbish season and I was praying, almost desperate, that anyone but Liverpool would win the leagueSome of the posts when he was close to top of the league are hilarious now, people thinking Spurs are genuine title challengers because it's Jose's second season, how Jose is back, how Spurs are very professional players compared to viruses at ManUtd and all that.
Few even stopped posting since Spurs stopped winning.
A significant portion of our fans(in here at least) are insane, so I'm not surprised. If they were in charge we'd never play the same starting XI twice in a row and we'd sack any manager that doesn't win the PL/CL immediately after said failure.

I'd be shocked if it was anything other than a very minor 0-5%, which isn't really a surprise at all because there's exceptions for almost every rule in life.I still cannot believe there is a section of the fan base who would have him over Ole.

Both squads should be doing a lot better than they are and both managers are underachieving.Arsenal's squad is nowhere near Spurs' squad. In fact, neither is United's, according to Mourinho himself. But here we are, in 2nd place, while he's floundering with 45 points from 28 matches with what is - by his own admission - a better team than we are.
We aren't going to engage in revisionist history here. Spurs were a perennial top 4 team and Champions League finalists when Mourinho took over. There's no excuses for them to be where they are in the table, given the resources and players they have.
I couldn't stand the park the bus football - definitely more preference than anything based in science in fairness, but yeah. Much more is expected when managing one of the giants (fallen giants at this point ).That and the fact everyone prefers a certain style of football. What used to be a Jose masterclass has now become park the bus.
Unfortunately, this only works if you are an underdog.
Surely for Mourinho to salvage his job he now has to win the Europa League?
A League cup won't be enough right ? @balaks
