Joe Hart being unceremoniously f××ked off by Citeh

This is a genuine headline, from a Telegraph article published today:

It goes on to state that Hart deserves better than to be 'tossed aside like an unwanted pair of gloves'.
thats laying it on very thick.......

It all just seems so mellow dramatic for a simple story about a player who doesn't fit in with a new managers tactics...... thats just what happens in football, and work in general.

bit harsh on karius as he has not even had his opportunity yet?
I think we're forgetting something very important in all this. It's Joe Hart! Joe Hart! The man is a great singer and he has entertained us for so many years...

Think he's stuck there till January. Was being discussed as an option, on Sunderlans's forum. That says it all about his options.

Will be interesting to see what club wants to drop their existing keeper to bring Hart in, let alone with short notice.

I support letting the manager drop whoever they want. I don't think players should be played out of respect or slowly let go over 1-2 seasons.

My Hart will go on

When did they put him up for sale?

They seem like they've shafted him by delaying this decision (or telling him) and now put a big transfer or loan fee on his head. Most half decent teams don't need a new goalkeeper, never mind one that they'll have to drop a big fee on.

I don't get this transfer.

The only thing that makes sense is that Hart is not good enough, certainly when compared to the other GKs of the top club. But there is something more behind it - the reasoning of him not being good enough with his feet, while not necessarily untrue, is ridiculous. There is something behind the scenes, either in terms of his influence/disruption in camp or his billy big balls attitude.

But even more confusing is Bravo deciding to leave Barcelona. It is most likely money - I'm sure City are doubling, if not tripling his wages. But the guy is 33 and has been given a 4 year deal. Even stranger is that he is leaving a cosy job to go to live and work in the north of England. Maybe he was pissed with the GK arrangement of him not playing in CL, but still it's weird to me.

Try reading the article I posted above.

It is a big deal. Hart is bad with his feet - he whacks it long at the first sight of trouble. Caballero isn't much better but in the pre-season friendlies, he actually tried to follow instructions.

Ter Stegen wanted to be first-choice and Bravo didn't want to get demoted. Bravo is much older, while Ter Stegen is Barcelona's future. So Bravo is leaving. Money is not the issue here, although it will no doubt be a nice plus point signing for City.

Hart was bad on the pitch, but keeping him in the team and not playing him is even more dangerous. Imagine the circus and ruckus he'll cause everytime city conceded.

Kinda like benching rooney, the press won't give the manager a rest unless he wins it all, any draw or lost and press will spout the same rubbish

Signing a 33 year old goalkeeper who has never played in PL before. He could potentially struggle. And since he's displacing England's #1, there will be a lot of media focus on any mistake he makes. I would love to see strikers physically test him from set pieces and crosses.

I was thinking of Hart today and where he could go. Not many options in the PL and with the form of their new keeper can see why Everton aren't interested.

West Ham or Liverpool good shouts?

Can't stand him. An arrogant and hateful man. The moment he screamed and cursed at a ball boy stands out as being particularly unsavoury.

Can't wait to see Bravo deal with crosses. PL is much more physical.

I love football , I remember years ago at the newbies, some people were crying bitterly how City have the best goalie and we were left with scrawny DDG, our scouts sucks and we should have gone for Neur.

Frank Hoeks, the goalkeeping guru appreciated by so many great goalkeepers, yet being some "fans' here can't wait for him to be rid off.
How many people were actually doing that though?

In both the disastrous Moyes and Van Gaal reigns, both the goalkeeper coaches actually came out with enhanced reputations. Chris Wood was only the member of the coachinh team not fired with Moyes on that April 22nd morning for example.

This is just taking a stab at an enemy that doesn't exist.

I think it's a bit classless how they treated a player who was there for many years.

This is exactly what i feel about Hart's situation. Evidently, he has a big place among the City fans and to see him thrown out is a bit unceremonious i think.

Chelsea's handling of Lampard wasn't the classiest either.

I can swear that I saw it in main section.

It's pretty evident that any move for him is going to be a step down both in terms of club pedigree and wages. I'm not sure how much longer he has left on his contract, but he's still relatively young for a gk IMO. I can see him staying for this season at least - he'll also believed he's good enough to get back in pep's plans.

For the City fans here, what's your view on how he has been treated? For me, the level of harshness depends on whether he was told at the start of the summer that he wouldn't be playing for pep.

All summer Utd have stolen Man Citys thunder, no matter that they did, Utd out done them everyone time.
Except for this.
Schweinsteiger being left in the reserves was threatening to become an issue. Maybe not a big issue but was always lurking in the shadows. However with Hart, all the attention has turned to City and Pep. Finally, the world, or just England are talking about them? Does anyone outside of England actually give a shit? Any reports in Europe, perhaps Spain with Bravo moving to City?
This will drag on, although will lose steam throughout the season with City/Pep screwing up by not releasing Hart earlier.
Bravo will be under pressue having to adjust to the league and Pep will be feeling it too if his goalkeeper leaks goals. The defence will need to time to gel too and with Champs league starting soon, time is running out. All great news.
