Jesus Red card?

Didn't Ben White also kick-out at Rashford when he scored our third goal? White slide-in helplessly as Rashford finished it and seemed to me to kick as Rashford went around the goal celebrating - wasn't mentioned in the game or the analysis so maybe I got it wrong, but if he did then that's another lucky petulant Arse; might reflect their squad as a whole.

Which Arsenal player went in studs up on Bruno? I thought VAR were going to check that too.

He got the ball, but also completely took out the man.

Don't think Lokonga got anything on the ball. Just lunged at Bruno. 100% red. Crappy footage:

I thought the worst of the lot was Saka on Malacia. Made no attempt for the ball and really went through him out of frustration. I don't know why those aren't punished more harshly.

Just like how VAR disallowed their goal, it should have been brought back and gave Jesus a red card.. I’m all about consistency.

Given how much the Arsenal fans are still moaning about the disallowed goal (obe actual correct decision VAR made), please retrospectively ban Jesus for this. Lets also not forget the Lokonga and Saka’s high stud challenges each of which could have been reds. I don’t think either of them even got yellows for them?

and mind you, at least one of our players will get a red for less than any of these this season. I’m sure.

To be fair, Jesus played well yesterday although I’m not sure he’s an out and out number 9 - lots of tricks and good teamwork but not great on the end of a cross

Yeah I noticed this as well.

It's been like it for ages, but it seems referees are the ones encouraging diving as unless you go down they'll just ignore it (it's easier for them to not do their job...).

I hate the way Spanish teams act, but if we want to be successful (specially in Europe) we need to start playing on the weaknesses of refs and force them into making decisions.

If Martinez was a bitch like some other players he would had fall on his ass and started crying, then it would've been checked and Gabriel Jesus would've got a red card.

I like Martinez.

So thats why Jesus wasnt a big issue afterwards. He broke his foot on the Ironbutcher!

If Martinez goes down and starts rolling around, there’s no doubt VAR would start checking replays and camera angles.

In my view, that’s a straight red card. Jesus gets saved just because Martinez is a hard fecker.
If it had been the other way round Jesus would still be rolling around now. We were told Martinez is a tough cookie and he certainly is.

Seems to be a North London thing, when things don't go there way both Arsenal and Spurs start behaving like spoilt kids.

Football is a funny world where we're admiring someone as 'rock hard' because he didn't collapse and writhe around after a small kick on his leg.

I can't see this Arsenal finishing top 4 this season. As soon as shit hits the fan and it doesn't go their way, they start acting like petulant children. They will crumble when the pressure is on.

Unfortunately it is they way football has gone. It is such a surprise when somebody doesn't roll around it becomes admirable.

Martinez clearly not a pussy like most modern day footballers, just gets on with it.Wish there were more like him tbf.

Well he did join us and tell Arsenal to feck off

You nailed him.

Nothing in it. Happy to see this nonsense not result in a red card.

Sorry but this is disingenuous and comes off trying to be contrarian. Jesus kicks him like an MMA fighter would kick a lower leg and there is no argument for "he's just going for the ball" because the ball is no where near them. There was definitely something in it.

I’m sure that was Arteta’s instruction: kick all our players until they react and get a red card. Even for rashford second goal, he was lashed out at.

That's very true and I do like that, but odd he's now being billed as peak Mike Tyson for it:lol:

Not only both werent a yellow but Lokonga challenge wasnt even called a foul.

Just seen this on Twitter. Didn’t see any mention of this yesterday. Surely that’s a straight red card? Aren’t VAR supposed to pick up on these.

Perhaps Jesus was mad at him because he rejected Arsenal for united.
