Jesus Red card?

Just seen this on Twitter. Didn’t see any mention of this yesterday. Surely that’s a straight red card? Aren’t VAR supposed to pick up on these.

He's fortunate he kicked a feckin hardman in Martinez. Majority of other players would have gone down and likely would have reviewed.

If Martinez goes down and starts rolling around, there’s no doubt VAR would start checking replays and camera angles.

In my view, that’s a straight red card. Jesus gets saved just because Martinez is a hard fecker.

Is this in the Jesus thread? Needs to be
Not unless someone else has posted it. I haven’t.

I wonder how many Arsenal fans who’ve been complaining about the ref and VAR are talking about this incident.

As I said and was quoted by ArseMania forum saying, Martinez will deal with Scabby Jesus.

I firmly believe VAR only pick up on things mentioned by the commentary team.

Theres no independent thought by officials for moments like these. If Gary Neville starts oooooooooh-ing and brings attention to it they look at it for sure.

I’m wondering why the linesman hasn’t seen it. He would have been stood directly in line with them looking straight across the pitch.

Love the way Martinez seems to rile everyone he plays against up. Nunez would've been gone inside 20 minutes

I’m certain there will be at least 5 red cards against us this season which involve either Martinez or Antony.

I can actually see Antony getting sent off himself too. Seems to have a short fuse. Lashed out yesterday and lucky the Arsenal player wasn’t in reaching distance.

Nothing in it. Happy to see this nonsense not result in a red card.

Yeah why is this not a retrospective ban? You can't just kick someone.

What minute was that in? Can’t believe that was missed, also can’t believe Martinez didn’t clatter him in the next tackle, well worth a booking to leave one in on him

Which Arsenal player went in studs up on Bruno? I thought VAR were going to check that too.

He got the ball, but also completely took out the man.

Lokonga I think. The Jesus one is petulant but not enough for a red, Lokonga was fortunate not to see a card for his though.

Could be a legit retrospective ban, brainless from Jesus. Just need to hope this gathers enough traction on Social Media for it to require discussion.

It's Arsenal, what did people expect? They always get away with those.

I think it's fine that nothing came of it, there's meant to be a bit of needle between a centre back and a striker and it's hardly a big deal, but it's funny to see another point against a load of Arsenal fans who had convinced themselves they were going to get screwed over based largely on 1 game 18 years ago and have tried to construct a story that they did yesterday.

Shit happens. Let's not act like Arse fans and whine about things that did not go our way.

Martinez knew he was backing into Jesus and I absolutely love it.

This. It's really not that bad and very difficult to spot for VAR – there's a reason why this didn't pop up on social media until the day after the match. There's no great conspiracy.

Also pretending like Martinez is some kind of Terminator because he didn't react to what must have felt like an innocuous coming together of legs might be a bit much.

Violent conduct. Textbook red card.

If the Martial slap on Lamela is a red card (it’s not), then this is certainly red.

Maybe some would give it. I think the threshold for a red is usually slightly higher but it's hard to tell off a 3 second clip with just one angle.
Yeah, I'd like to see it properly. Looks a stonewall red for me based on that. I'm amazed nobody saw it.

40th minute after we scored the first.
