Never liked Lingard, he is an utter twat.
Delighted he has finally gone, and hopefully to another continent, playing around at soccer in the MLS.

Thanks for a couple of special goals, otherwise, its Good riddance.

I thought it was 18 months. And still moaned he was hard done by the club
 
Think he got distracted along the way. I'm even starting to suspect all those personal issues that he mentioned are overplayed. He was such a good prospect when he first burst into scene.
 
A good little player for us that came through the academy and won us the FA Cup. He went off the rails the last three seasons and contributed about as much as Juan Mata in that time. If he can find his West Ham form at his next club then someone’s got a good player.
 
He thought he could be a showman like Pogba and got himself totally distracted from everything to do with the day job - had a good loan spell at WH but I think the plaudits got to his head and he lost focus…..think the boat has sailed for him now……

It's like he made as a pro, realised he was completely out of his depth and knew he couldn't sustainably perform at the level demanded from him consistently so he started trying to find alternate means to stay relevant.

I remember seeing a clip from training a while back and he’s fecking about dancing whilst the rest are all training and it just summed it up for me. I’d put money on this guy being one of the major problems in that dressing room, thank feck he’s gone.
 
Lingard gets millions of likes on his tiktok and he's new to it. Shows he has quite a lot of influence and is broadly popular, fair play to him.

I think that he still has a lot to offer the Premier League and if Forest get him that would be exciting for them!
 
Would be a terrible signing for Forrest.

They’ll be up against it this season, and need people who are willing to fight to stay up. That’s not Lingard.

Maybe it'll be the FA Youth Cup from 11 years ago.

It certainly won't be anything he's done on the field for his boyhood club in the last close to half decade.

Maybe it'll be something to do with launching his brand or something.

My money would be Lingard having no intention of going to Forest, but is using their interest to try and get West Ham to increase their offer. I don't think it'll work though, West Ham know he's 30 years old, know he's had only 6 months good form in the last 6 years, know they're well ahead of a club like Forest, and know that nobody particularly "wants" him nevermind "values" him.
 
Forest are utter idiots. He's not an 180k player, nor is he someone who will galvanise the team in a relegation dogfight.
 
Feel sorry for Forest here, they’ll be using his name on social media to increase their profile I would bet, hence the reason they’re willing to sign him on that money.

I think you’re right- Lingard to West Ham has been the most obvious transfer of the summer yet it still hasn’t happened yet; makes sense that he’s been taking the piss with his demands and West Ham aren’t responding as Team Lingard want to that. Roping in Forest to pressure West Ham would be an obvious tactic.
