If we can get Alexis even half firing he'd probably be a better option than Jesse through the middle and definitely more clinical. Jesse has a habit of missing the easier chances and scoring the odd screamer here or there.
Sanchez has done absolutely nothing in a United shirt, why do people think he is so much better than Lingard, I just don't see it.I just don't think Lindgard is good enough whatsoever. Really hate seeing him in the starting 11. He does track back but doesn't really do anything. He is a useful quad player to be at Man United but definitly not good enough to be starting each week.
I would rather see Sanchez starting.

Not too many players in the United Squad have done anything this season either under Mourinho.
Sanchez has more talent than Lingard ever will.
Look at Sanchez at Arsenal, if Ole can get him playing like that he will be like a new signing.
I would keep Lingard definitely as a squad player and can be useful tactically but no where near world class.
Sanchez may be one of the most talented players in the prem, but I repeat, he had not shown it in a United shirt, yet. I hope you are right, and we do see the player that was so good for Arsenal, but I do remember a certain Axel Tuanzebe marking him out of the game once. Lingard needs to be played in games where we are pushed back, he is good at making runs in behind, a game like today, in my opinion, was not the game for him.

Probably because in form Sanchez was a really good player for Arsenal. Better than Lingard has ever been for us.
For example in 15/16 he scored 13 goals with 4 assists in the league for Arsenal in 28 starts and 2 sub appearances.
He started 9 of those games on the right side with 6 goals and 2 assists.
So he's shown he can do well on the right side for a run of games. Lingard and Mata arent providing the toughest competition for the role so its worth giving him a chance
I agree, at Arsenal he was an excellent player, not at Old Trafford though, I do not dispute what he was, just hasn't shown it for us.
Pogba the midfielder looks to be operating as part of our front three moreso than actual "winger" Lingard. but this hole on our RW remains. The occasional good game but in general on the fringes like he was today.
His average position actually ends up almost on top of Ander today. Central midfield again slightly further back than Pogba, like against Spurs

World class at work rate?! Do you fecking hear yourself?!They are clueless. Work rate is a skill like shooting passing or headers. Lingard is world clase at work rate. Im not his biggest fan and think he shouldnt start against tame opposition but people have very single track minds

Do you truly fail to recognise the distinction between work rate complementing one's game, and work rate being one's game? Beckham, Kante etc are great players made better by their phenomenal work rate. Lingard, in contrast, occupies the latter category: his game depends entirely on his work rate.Yeah I'm sure me and the managers are clueless. I don't want to be in a position to defend Jesse because we was crap this week and isn't the best but if you can't understand how some players are world class at having high work rate, quit wasting your time trying to analyze players.
Kante, Beckham, Neville are few other players who had world class work rate. You think it's that easy why don't you "run around the pitch" like they do?
Doesn’t provide enough of a goal threat to occupy the front three positions.
He’s fine starting just now but we should be looking for a right sided forward for the summer.
Funny how the people who are saying that work rate is the least that should be expected from a Manchester United player are the same ones that get offended by any Martial criticism.
If you have try to separate your anger and read what I said then you realize I didn't say he is great, I also believe he should be squad player.I guess you also rate both Jones and Young highly, and thinks they are good enough for our first team simply because they are part of the winning team that won the last 6 games?
Very stupid reply.Very stupid logic there
What has Pereira done to make you think he should be starting then? Last time he played he had an awful game.Sanchez may be one of the most talented players in the prem, but I repeat, he had not shown it in a United shirt, yet. I think the issue is Young will not going to cover whole right side, if Sanchez will play there we might need some one to cover right side.He seems like a great option when playing against fellow top six teams and tough away fixtures, as his runs and work rate come in real handy, but not so much against relatively easier opposition.
Hoping for a Sanchez chance sooner rather than later, to see how he integrates with martial and rashford.

Can you honestly pinpoint yesterday what he did that made us win the match?. It reminds me of nevillles “silent domination”. In this formation we need more of an individual threat out wide to break down teams. For me instrumental in winning since Ole came. He needs to find a consistency to his game and yep he could be upgraded but 9 out the 11 players could do also as there is generally always better out there. Sanchez ceiling and others coming in too might be higher but we also know that's not always enough. Lingards effort may not be enough for some but it goes a long long way to contributing to winning football matches.
