Games like today are why I call anyone who wants Lingard sold bonkers. He doesn't have to play every game, but he's a tactical dream for a manager. He works his socks off, he gets into dangerous positions and he frees up space for his teammates. And he loves the club, which means he'll always, always run harder than any moderately more talented mercenary that we can bring in.
He didn't even play that great today, but his role was essential, and he did exactly what he needed to do to make our system work.
