Glad for Jesse. Happy I can praise him and not just say he works hard. Proper player and I'm happy we stuck with him even when most on here thought and probably still think he's not good enough. Makes it even better that he's a local lad and one of our own.

He is. I cant believe so many people didn't recognise his talent. Some players need some more time, its just the way it is.
Until recently, regular player only break through around between 22-25 is normal. For some reason, nowadays if players can't establish yourself by 20, there are plenty of fans writing them off.

He was looking the most likely to make something happen with his darting little runs with the ball but things were too static around him at times. Cracking strike yet again to seal the deal!

Delighted for him,he does score some great and important goals for us and has really improved lately.
i like him as an #8 for sure. scored three goals there, 2 against burnley and 1 today/
I'll be honest, I had huge doubts over him but he's been fantastic over the last few weeks. Hopefully this is his level now rather than just some good form.
Similar to Sterling in that I think you get the absolute best out of him when he's played centrally and close to the striker

As I wrote in the other thread, Lingard should try scoring some tap ins for a change. These screamers are becoming so usual for him.
In better form than Alli at the moment, good luck to him, he's really pushing himself into the England squad and carrying us at the moment!

I've always preferred Lingard and Lallana over Alli for England because Alli just loses the ball far far too much. Hopefully Lingard can start at the WC as I think he would work really well for England, working with Kane, Sterling etc.

He was never a winger, lacks the crossing ability or that one v one skillset. Playing as 10 or off a striker really suits him, great movement, plays an intelligent game.

I love lallana for England though, he is so consistent and gives everything he has for England. Agreed, I'd rather bin Alli off, as its almost like playing with another striker with him. His game isn't creating and his goal scoring isn't what it was.
I think we could play with lingard, Kane and sterling front 3 and play lallana deeper in the "Pogba" role at the moment.
Edit: sorry, misred that a bit. If we could get both lallana and lingard in the team, I'd love it!
