Yeah if we can at least get rid of a couple of CB's in January then that will free up space in the squad to sign one in the summer even though could really do with one before that, at least that MEN article suggests we are trying to sign a CDM even if we have to wait until the summer for it because was starting to wonder if it was even on the priority list.

We are not getting 10 mil for Jones or Romero, probably not Lingard either. The wages they get would make them top earners at any club outside top 6-8. Bottom 12 clubs will not be paying these sorts of wages and top 8 clubs don't need our shite players. The only way to get shot of them is to give them transfers similar to Sanchez where they're either free or ridiculously cheap so the buying club can subsidise the individual players losses.
Some of you posters need to stop playing Championship Manager. Feel free to quote me if we get more than a couple mil for each of players mentioned above.
 
Think the only way we make a signing outside of maybe RB cover is if we suffer an injury crisis at CB or CDM early in the year. Having said that if there is an opportunity to sign this Caicedo then we could do some business

Would be the best January we could hope for to be honest. Shift some of the people with expiring contracts at the end of the season, a young talented DM and CB to have half a season to adjust to the league.

I really like Vestegard at Southampton although his pace beside Maguire would be a worry.

A CB is a must, one long term injury to Maguire and we slide into clown territory. I don't think we can go to the end of the season without the one paced combo of Maguire and Lindelof not costing us dearly.

Caicedo and Bissouma should offer enough skills, grit and high energy behind Bruno.

Upamecano will compensate for Maguire’s lack of speed.

Admire your optimism but just cannot see Upamecano leaving Leipzig until the summer.

Think there is a possibility we could sign either Bissouma/Caciedo even though could do with both for depth.

Do you think we should also look at RB cover as well after seeing AWB really struggling at the moment.
 
I’m not sure we should do much in January, really. We should give this Diallo kid a chance.

Maybe, and that’s just maybe, bring in a center back if available.
 
Would love to see Jones move out, but can’t see any club interested in an average cb available 10-15 games per season. Biggest mystery in world football that he is still with us getting paid 70k/w or whatever it is to do whatever it is he does.
 
Lingard is rumoured to be going out on loan,
Romero should be allowed to leave,
Rojo is free at the end of the season so get him moved on,
My hope Is Jones goes out on loan with a obligation to buy,
Perhaps if that happens we'll buy Upamecano with him joining us in the summer.
Pogba? Only sell if we can get a replacement

I can't see any big names comming, if we manage to get Caicedo and considering Diallo will arrive in January that would be good enough for me.

We should also move Lingard, Romero, and hopefully Rojo in this window.

Does seem very unlikely that he won't sign a new contract with Real though as he is such a cult legendary figure there.We also would have the small matter of Bayern to beat off for Dayot which is tough for any team.

I could live with not signing a CB next month if we could agree a deal in the summer for Alaba or Upamecano, however there is serious competition around europe for both players so we will do very well to sign either of them

That would be so underwhelming, out of that lot I’d take Neto as a Lingard replacement.

What type of player is ward Prowse?

Is he a deep lying playmaker? Can he do what Carrick or Scholes did? Does he break up play? Is he energetic?

I think I know what type he is but I like to see how you describe him
