Not in the traditional sense he won't. His skillset is suited to a more central game I think.

Well yes, but how many are nowadays? Games evolved into a narrower more technical game, which Rodriguez excels at. Although I can't pretend to be an expert on the lad. I've only watched him half a dozen times this year.

feck, Moutinho was my biggest muppet dream this summer, after the unavailable Gundogan.

It seems that I will be happy with Fellaini

Why wouldnt FFP intervene? Monaco/PSG will be under the same restrictions as everyone else

UEFA won't give a feck. As long as they keep paying their players etc. they'll be fine in terms of FFP, they'll just sign a few lucrative sponsorship deals to cover for their expenses. Thing with Monaco is, if they sign a player and pay him €5m a year that's his net income - there's no income tax as far as I remember. In England to give player the same amount you'd need to pay around €9m wouldn't you? In Spain and Germany it'd be €10m. Their running expenses will be considerably lower than they'd be outside of their territory.

What restrictions are those? The same ones City and Chelsea are under?

People should stop posting nonsense about FFP.

Clubs will submi their yearly accounts over the summer. Combined financial returns for the 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 seasons will then be assessed by UEFA. But eligibility for next season's CL will not be affected. The penalty system won't kick in until the 2014/2015 season.

Let's wait until FFP comes into force before dismissing it as ineffective.

Those are my serious football posts, mate. :D

Incredible, they way exceeded our transfer record in one season in two signings - and they say it is just a start.

That's crazy. Aren't they strongly linked with Falcao as well? Monaco vs PSG should be some game in the coming years.

Pretty sure that when we signed Blanc, Veron and Ruud the £50m or whatever it was would have been a fair bit more in real terms taking inflation, and the fact the figure quoted for these two, into account.

Porto must be loaded now after selling all their players for big money the past few years yet still winning their own league. Now watch them pluck another few out of South America and the same cycle will repeat itself again. It's amazing how Porto do their transfer business

Quite the opposite, they are skint.

Which is why they keep having to sell their best players.
