Di Maria has put me off Real Madrid rejects. I don't think James suits the PL.

It's a bit of a risk, but depending on the fee, it may be worth taking. If he turns out to be a Robben or Sneijder instead of a Di Maria, it's exactly what we need.

I've barely seen him play at all for Real, but he looked great for Colombia. No idea whether or not he's good enough, as international football is an unreliable yardstick to measure with.

Yeah that's where I think he'd play, on the right, with Valencia overlapping. He'd basically drift around linking the play. Very good crosser/set piece taker, too.
Yep, he could be our version of KDB.
I'm not just saying this because we're linked but he's a better version as well.

We label Real Madrid players looking to leave as 'rejects' like they aren't several levels above us right now.

Quality player.

He's a quality player that has not been given the chances he deserves due to the requirement of playing a 4-3-3 with BBC that doesn't fit his style. Marvellous left foot and scorer of great goals. He'll be a quality signing if true. The word from Spain is that he actually wants to come to United so people fearful of another di Maria should take a step back.

What will happen.

We'll sign him for around 60m Euros. Real signs Mbappe for an increased amount. James starts well but gets more and more inconsistent as season passes on. Mbappe starts slow but as season goes on shows why he's a superstar. James fecks off to China after one season. Mbappe develops into a world class footballer.

Is this like when we signed Vidal or for realz this time?

The turd that wont flush, I loathe the idea of signing him, for starters he will mean we don't get Griezmann and then we'll have to shove Pogba into a 2 to accomodate him, and on top of that he's a lazy twat with a bad attitude. Hopefully this Colombian radio station is as reliable as Chillevision. I'd rather keep Rooney on the bench for a season than pay a ludicrous amount of money for this guy and have to shoehorn him into the team every single week.

Read on Twitter he has the most goals+assists of any midfielder in the league, which is impressive if true, as he has only played 20 games.

As long as the fee isn't stupid, I'm definitely down with this. I think he's a very good player.

He has a 1 goal in 3 ratio in his career too, is only 26 in July. Don't get why people talk of him like he's not better than what we have.

How are you going to utilize him? As a playmaker on the wing or as a classic playmaker in the middle? Don't really see where he would fit in as jou guys already have Mata, Martial and Mkhitaryan for his potential positions.

Makes sense regarding Rooney leaving and him replacing. He's obviously a big upgrade on Wayne but do any knowledge posters know how credible this radio station is?!

Have a feeling Mata will be sold in the summer, also Jesse Lingard is a starter for us.

Quality player.
They can be levels above what we have now and not be arsed to play for us. They can be levels above us now but we can still aspire to have better.

Probably classic playmaker in the middle, we've played 4-2-3-1 bunch of times this season. We haven't had a consistent number 10 this season due to form and injuries.

People talking about £30-40m will be disappointed, no way will RM part with him for under £50-60m.

Rather have Bernardo Silva who is more suited to the wing and wouldn't cost that much more.

Martial isn't a starter. Mata is currently on the bench but he's returning from injury. Currently Mourinho's first choice attack is a front three of Rashford, Mkhitaryan and Lingard with a midfield three of Fellaini, Herrera and Pogba behind.

How would your offense look then? Something like this:

----------Rashford----------
Martial-James--Mkhitaryan
--------XXX---Pogba-------
?

While the quality would be there, I wouldn't be to happy with Pogba in this one. Still believe he should play as close to the box as possible and ideally in front of two midfielders.

I don't want him. I do think he is an upgrade on our current options but not by enough of a distance for us to go and spend crazy money on him.

There are just so many more pressing issues than this.

Martial wouldn't be in the starting XI.

60m€ seems a fair price. The part of Mbappé sounds great too.I don't agree about James going to China.
He doesn't have Di María mentality.I think that he would become a fan favorite very soon

I'd think that mentality wise he isn't the player Jose would pursue.

Then again you just know it is something the board and Woody would love due to the South-American market.

We'd probably sell shitloads of hair gel and tires in Colombia.

RM looking to fleece United for cash as they sell off a bang average player
