Di Maria has put me off Real Madrid rejects. I don't think James suits the PL.
The most frustrating thing about that signing in hindsight is that he would have been perfect for Mourinho.
It's a bit of a risk, but depending on the fee, it may be worth taking. If he turns out to be a Robben or Sneijder instead of a Di Maria, it's exactly what we need.
I've barely seen him play at all for Real, but he looked great for Colombia. No idea whether or not he's good enough, as international football is an unreliable yardstick to measure with.

Well for £30-35m it's not a bad signing, but for + £40m it's a no no!
He's a quality player that has not been given the chances he deserves due to the requirement of playing a 4-3-3 with BBC that doesn't fit his style. Marvellous left foot and scorer of great goals. He'll be a quality signing if true. The word from Spain is that he actually wants to come to United so people fearful of another di Maria should take a step back.
To be fair, 40 million isn't outrageous in this market. After all, 30 million gets you a Sissoko or a Wijnaldum nowadays.

The turd that wont flush, I loathe the idea of signing him, for starters he will mean we don't get Griezmann and then we'll have to shove Pogba into a 2 to accomodate him, and on top of that he's a lazy twat with a bad attitude. Hopefully this Colombian radio station is as reliable as Chillevision. I'd rather keep Rooney on the bench for a season than pay a ludicrous amount of money for this guy and have to shoehorn him into the team every single week.
He has a 1 goal in 3 ratio in his career too, is only 26 in July. Don't get why people talk of him like he's not better than what we have.
How are you going to utilize him? As a playmaker on the wing or as a classic playmaker in the middle? Don't really see where he would fit in as jou guys already have Mata, Martial and Mkhitaryan for his potential positions.

Martial isn't a starter. Mata is currently on the bench but he's returning from injury. Currently Mourinho's first choice attack is a front three of Rashford, Mkhitaryan and Lingard with a midfield three of Fellaini, Herrera and Pogba behind.
Why not? We wouldn't lose money on him even if we sold him on, I reckon.

While the quality would be there, I wouldn't be to happy with Pogba in this one. Still believe he should play as close to the box as possible and ideally in front of two midfielders.

I don't want him. I do think he is an upgrade on our current options but not by enough of a distance for us to go and spend crazy money on him.
