They should have told Daniel Craig to feck off the moment he auditioned for Bond.

"No"

"Why not"

"Erm your blonde, your hair line is receding, and the character lines are to be pronounced in a suave eloquent fashion. You just sound aggressive and angry. "

I thought Craig was good in Casino Royale. I refuse to acknowledge that other one as a Bond film though.

The films have taken Bond away from the assassin Fleming created. There's no need to keep him looking the same when apart from the name he is almost unrecognizable as a character. Craigs Bond is a far more accurate representation than the last 3 despite his looks.

'For Your Eyes Only' is on ITV4. Again. Guess what? The ski chase scene is still God like.

A guy in a turban just crushed some dice in his hand with the most unconvincing glare in the world. Also after crushing the dice he dropped a considerable amount of dust for what there was.

They just had a chase in one of those Indian taxis, flying ridiculously high into the air while making tennis puns.

I am watching it, too. I also watched 'For Your Eyes Only' again.

Is that the one where Moore wins at backgammon, gives some of his winning to a Indian guy and says "that'll keep you in curry for a while"?

Yep. Bond is much more rapey and offensive than I remember. he spends most of his time leering creepily at women.

(Reuters) - It's hard to keep a good man down, even after bankruptcy.

British secret agent James Bond, 007, is set to return to movie theaters for a 23rd version of the long-running and lucrative film franchise, its makers at EON Productions and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film studio said on Tuesday.

The announcement follows MGM's emergence from bankruptcy in December, which had forestalled putting a new Bond movie into production.

MGM and EON said Daniel Craig will return in the role of the suave spy when Bond blasts back into theaters in November, 2012 -- 50 years after 1962's original "Dr. No."

Production is set to begin in late 2011 with Oscar-winning director, Sam Mendes ("American Beauty") behind the camera. A title of the movie and details of the story were not unveiled.
back on track.

Yes, I have discovered that James Bond and Rocky Balboa have tendencies to force themselves on women. Quite horrible to look back on childhood favourites and discover that they're Rapey!

He was good, I thought. But apart from GoldenEye, his films weren't strong.

Yes I thought the films let him down. They were shocking films in truth. Madonna fencing? Invisible car? feck off....GoldenEye was great of course though

Sam Mendes has apparently been champing at the bit to do this, even putting off several other projects while it got sorted out, which sounds promising. It'll be interesting to see what a proper director does with it...cos an Oscar winning director is clearly a first for bond.

Why do you watch James Bond, when we have...... (close up)...... Austin Powers! Muuhhhaahhhaaahhhaaaa:D

said in the mirror Blofeld going to be in the next bond movie.

was he not killed in For Your Eyes Only , when he was dropped down a Chimney.
Mind you in the credits for the film there was no mention of Blofeld , but it had to be him bald ,with a white cat.
Mind you if the maker's forget that bit , after all it was only the opening credits ,they could get away with bringing him back.
They could do a plot for Bond getting revenge for Blofeld being the driver of the car that killed his wife.

I don't think continuity is a major issue with Bond films. He's been 7 different people, 4 different nationalities, had about 18 different Felix Leiter's, 3 of whom have been different colours, and is now rapidly approaching about 80.

Hope it turns out better than Quantum of Solace, that was overhyped, overbloated, even though I did like the two girls (Gemma & Kurylenko) in it yet they lacked the sizzle that Eva Green brought in the first film.
