For a publicly listed company that has 625m in annual turnover, the difference in paying the up front fee vs installments is not that great. It's less than 5% of turnover. There may have been some movement in some of the deadwood (Smalling / Rojo / Jones / Lingard) which made it easier, but it would be idiotic for this transfer to fall apart over installments vs. upfront fees. But a business with the track record of Utd, which is in the top 3 in their industry worldwide, with a great number of capital assets (players + OT), a fairly clean balance sheet, significant cash reserves and credit lines... if it falls apart, it's NOT because we cannot "afford" Sancho.
Damn. Was hoping we'd hit 1000 pages. But, if it happens now, I'm happy to sacrifice the 4 digit page mark for a transfer thread as long as he joins us. Ironically, if it doesn't work out and we do not get him, it could spawn an explosion of posts to take us past the Pogba record (is it 1100 pages?)!
