Jadon Sancho| Staying at Dortmund for now

Time to start preparing our next muppet transfer thread to move to. We can never start too soon.

One or 2 of Haaland, Upamecano, Camavinga sagas next summer hopefully

VDB, Sancho, Reguilon is a good summer. Let’s hope we get it done. Even with those signings we still need a cb, st, dm and backup left winger of a higher standard than James. There’s still so much work to do

Come on, get this done before weekend! We have already waited long

Why? He's got no inside knowledge on this deal at all. We either have agreed wages or we haven't. It's a 50 50 call he's right. Hardly groundbreaking mate.

Come on, but then it’s 50/50 on everything and everyone, strange take to have.

Ole is enough, don't want another Abidal situation here.

Since Ole came in, it seems like we never needed a dof.

Ole won't be manager forever; I'd love someone with his outlook (youth, personality being important, (counter) attacking football) in a long term role with us

10 days till first game. At least he has been training/playing but, be nice if he gets some training time with the team before lining up in that #7 shirt.

This Camavinga kid, what’s his best position?

If we could get Donny, Sanchy and Reggy for this window, and get Upamecano and a top class holding MF player.... we’d be back to being one of the best sides in the world.

Where are the Germans? We need some of their pessimism in here.
You want some, come get some! ;-)

Nobody in the German media is actually talking about this Sancho story, which is not the best sign for a transfer about to happen. Especially BILD, who're usually lightning quick when it comes to those big transfer developments, don't even mention the Sancho saga on their homepage.

I think it has been pretty clear, that United and Sancho have agreed to terms a long time ago. This still only depends on United's willingness to pay the money Dortmund demands and I don't see how that should've changed.

It's a real shame btw, since this is the most homerun transfer United can make. English international, great production in a top league, still insanely young with a lot more potential

After all those flops and overpaying over the years, they finally have the perfect player handed to them on a silver platter ... and somehow they're so close to butchering it.

Just pay the damn money, ffs! This one is worth it.

Makes an important point. James Cooper (Utds mouthpiece) previously mentioned the fee and structure would not be a problem.

Get sancho, thiago, regullion in and brilliant summer window. Move on deadwood and it will be the best ever.

Nothing he's said can be proved either way. Clubs don't come out and explain when terms were agreed. It's guess work and muppets lap it up.

And of course he could be right but it's not because he knows. It's because he guessed right. He didn't even know he had extended his deal until Dortmund spilled the beans.

Lets be happy it seems we are getting him. I didn't think we would this year.

I'm sure Ole is hounding Judge and Ed to get this done buy our first match and not let it drag on until October 5th.
I think it will be telling how close we are if he plays for Dortmund this weekend.

To think there were people today in this very thread saying this was dead dead dead, foolish fools.
We’ve had them every day mate. Same ones as well. No one has ever said it’s guaranteed Sancho is going to happen. But the most obvious thing throughout all of it was that it certainly wasn’t dead! That was baffling how anyone thought it was.

Sancho will definitely push hard now for the move, probably not as bad as Dembele and Aubameyang though.

Sky Sports all over it now. Sky Sports News about to talk about it in a few minutes!
Their update a week or two ago was that terms with Dortmund were easy, but it was actually personal terms that was the hold up.

So by their sources it’s surely done?

Nothing lazier than your take, repeating the lad is great without any evidence besides some fluffed up bundesliga stats, whenever I have seen on the CL stage against decent side or playing internationally he has flattered to deceive. I think Sancho is a good player but no way is he worth 120mil, not even close.

Exactly we overpaid for Maguire, heavily. Would rather we paid 40mil for Dunk at Brighton.

PSG lets players go all the time who would make United's match squad most games so that is saying little. Kinglsey Coman is not perfect one bit but there is nothing Sancho can do that he can't and outside of England no one regards him as any generational talent.

That's bollocks. Sancho is highly regarded here in Sweden too and to get 20 assists and 20 goals playing on the flank in one season is a remarkable feat for anyone.

Coman is a good player but his fitness issues have been a hindrance so far in his career.

It's happening, Sancho, VDB and one more.

Let's pray Thiago doesn't want Liverpool and somehow there's money for another, it would be a dream window

Done deal. That’s definitely come from United. Would look terrible if it fell apart now.

You know today's developments are entirely consistent with the theory that the transfer was delayed by United at the behest of Dortmund as he wanted to get the bonus payments first. The whole thing about needing to agree salary and agent fees could have a ruse to justify the delay. Now that the goal has been achieved, promptly United have gone back to negotiating with Dortmund. I have a feeling we have already decided to pay $120 million but will probably try to negotiate as much as possible on the structure of those payments and then come to an agreement.

The ball seems to be now in Dortmund's court that do they take a principled stand and force Sancho to stay put for another year or take the practical option of the money and bury the hatchet.

Romano got this so wrong on the wages and personal agreement.

We’ve clearly briefed there’s a breakthrough on specifically those things and he’s been saying for months that was all agreed.

Even if we sort this transfer does he need to quarantine for 2 weeks if he is coming to England?

He's done a fantastic job this summer of putting himself on the global map and demonstrating how much of a retard he really is. He really has managed to get his personality across via social media. Tier 1 Tool.
Indeed
