It needs to die, at least for now. Absolutely feck all has happened in nearly two weeks. Got absolutely no idea how you lot have managed to add nearly 250 pages in that time.
I did 2 good poems more than a week ago. And posting in the thread is the opposite thing to killing it.

how ridiculous. Imagine supporting United and being desperate that such a transfer would be called off. I was sceptical about the chances of it happening, and have so far unfortunately been proven correct in my scepticism. This deal is dead as feck boys, I'm looking. Here's Sancho having the opportunity to kill the rumours, but choosing not to, which is something to be positive about. He obviously wants to join, it's becoming very evident it's our inability to pay causing the issues.
Maybe everyone at United is on holiday seeing as our season just eneded the other day.

Jokes aside, it's interesting that the German media seem to be so convinced there's no chance he's leaving, whilst the player himself has had opportunities to put this to bed but has chosen not to.
His quotes also confirmed he won’t be throwing a fit to leave. Of course he wants the move but if we can’t fork out the money, he’ll be okay to stay in Germany for another year. The ball is back in our court to get it done
Ye, I hope this starts getting sorted quick, whether it's signing him or moving onto targets. Only so many times I can get my heart broken in quick succession. My muppet juices are almost all dried up

Both observations aren't independent of each other. If no one asks the question whether he will leave, because everyone assumes that no means no, then he has no pressure to make grand declarations. It's not like anyone pretends he wasn't at the very least open to a transfer either. The question is more whether or not he will act professionally and in that context both question and answer from the quoted statement fit:

I try not to look at the media because I think once you start looking at all that it would be easy to get carried away with it. It can affect players. For me it’s about not looking at those things and just focusing on trying to do the best I can on the pitch. Especially in training. For me it’s about improving every single day. It’s important for me to keep a smile on my face and keep happy. I don’t really look at all the noise and all that stuff. I’d rather keep my head down, keep focus and improve every day.
Whether it's United trying to save face / trying to get an edge in other negotiations or British journalists trying to milk the last clicks from this story: since deadline day we've had the most vague reports that negotiations are still going on and muppets took it from there, everyone else seems to have moved on.

Come next summer Chelsea may be looking to replace CHA. City might part ways with Pep and the new manager might make Sancho his number one priority signing.
Maybe Madrid or Barcelona will be looking for a new figurehead for their rebuilds.
My point is it’s incredibly arrogant from the club and the fans if they think it’s a given that we’d be the number one destination for him next summer.
What if we finish outside the top four? What if Dortmund stick to the €120 million valuation next year?
We need to move heaven and earth to get this kid signed up right now. I don’t give a shit if it means we don’t sign a two bit Brazilian centre back or another Welsh winger that’s a bit better than Lingard.
Just sign the fecker up now.
