Jadon Sancho| Staying at Dortmund for now

How is it RAWK? He's being asked to put the rumours to bed, but so far is insisting to keep his cards close to his chest as his preference is clearly to join us.

Im of the opinion that he would be fine staying at Dortmund another year, but he would prefer to join us.

What will stop this transfer from happening is whether or not the club can pay dortmund what they want, not if Sancho wants to come. You don't agree terms with a team, supposedly yell them you're on the way out and refuse to put the rumours to bed if you're completely committed to your club.

He's beinf a professional, im on the side of him staying, but it for sure will not be because he didn't want to join us
What makes it rawkish is the whole "hes not said hes staying which means he definitely desperately wants to come to us". What utter nonsense.
As you said, hes hedging his bets. I have no doubt he would love to stay at dortmund but would have no problem moving too. 50/50 if anything. I see no indication that hes dying for a move to utd

I've never said he's dying to join us. I would say it's a prwference though. Its well documented he wants to come back home, some of his best mates play here, his family and friends are back in England etc. but I doubt he would be against sticking around for another year, so it comes down to if we can afford (justify?) what Dorrmund want, which I'm not too sure we can

Really simple logic to this. If United are not willing to pay the requested fee, Sancho will stay at Dortmund. He seems happy where he is at the moment, and that is not surprising. Having family and friends in England may be an attractive reason to move, but he has an established role at Dortmund.

This entire saga has further shown how much Dortmund value his ability (albeit in monetary terms). I feel this episode has quite uncannily provided him with some professional re-affirmation. We may end up being the only losers.

You said he very clearly wants the move. Thats based on absolutely nothing. Hes young and settled in dortmund. Theres no rush for him to come back to England. I doubt utd is his dream move either why not wait next year and see if Liverpool or a London club want him? Or even barca or real? Im sure he wouldn't mind coming utd this summer but i highly doubt he badly wants a move. There's no evidence whatsoever to suggest otherwise

I think you are right. Although we all know he may want to move to bigger club in England later, there's no rush for him to do so in this summer. I thought he is happy at Dortmund at the moment, they have a young and talented squad, and Sancho is playing well in that team. Maybe he will want move next summer when's there's more option for him to choose from.

Dybala was scratched because he hadn't had it in him just like his compatriot di maria *cnut* . He has to show how desperate he wants the move or Olly will pass on him. Mkhi had to sweat it a bit when the transfer from the same team hit a halt over a commission fee type problem. he made a fuzz with raiola "alegedly" throwing chairs all over the place. Make your move Sancho lad.

It'd be a disaster if we don't make this transfer and have no viable alternatives.

Listening to this Romano fella when they interview him : he reminds me of when you see these medium people on the tv .. It’s like he’s giving you little bits of stuff you know or think you should know all the while giving you a bit of hope when he says something you want to hear.

I’m not trying to knock the bloke though, and I’m not saying he’s full of shite as you’d like to think he does have some connections somewhere. I’d never heard of him before this sancho thing so not too sure how accurate he’s been in the past.

This is pretty much every journalist when it comes to transfers. Even they must die a little inside every time. It is painfully all huff and puff 99% of the time and intentionally vague but there are enough people that just lap it up no matter how often the cycle repeats itself.

@do.ob you've got 145 posts in here and you're not a United or Dortmund fan and you just keep coming in to tell us Sancho isn't coming.

I don't get it?

He is trying to protect you from yourself, but you don't get it. Your frustration will just rise and rise, with every day past the 10. August.
The mindtwists inhere are mindblowing. In the training camp there are usual interviews. Your total lying english press which made stuff up was exploding, twitter BS all over the place, so journalists ask questions about Sancho. The officials just answer correctly, saying he stays this season, the deadline is over. But somehow some posters read this as "we are desperate to sell". Then muppets say "why then isn't Sancho saying he stays?" ignoring that Sancho doesn't have to say anything at all only cause of the desperation of some muppets here. Officials have announced the situation, they don't need a Sancho interview which proofs their point. BVB is no disneyland. The officials say something when there is something to say, and the point stands. Sancho will play at BVB. End of story.

Mark Goldbridge is 90% certain we'll sign him. He spoke to his insider who told him that we were going to sign Meunier and Bruno in the summer. So he must be reliable according to him.

I don’t expect anything to happen with Sancho until after next weekend when Europa is finished providing we reach the final, right now we’re fully focused on that and rightly so as the window is open til October 5th but I’d expect Ole to want it done straight after Europa finishes.

This one is without doubt dead in the water. Woody was never in a million years going to pay the asking price. We need to move onto other targets

I don’t understand this notion? Playing matches is Ole’s job. Signing players is Woodward and the board’s job. Why do we need to wait after the tournament to “fully focus”?

Quote first when United sign Sancho eventually before October 5

The only person he know's at the club is Brandon Williams...

It's funny how he completely relies on a person who keep feeding him porkies. For the record NO ONE knows how transfers would end. I mean, no one. Things can change so rapidly that even the most likely of signings can go sour. I remember SIR ALEX FERGUSON (not his uncle, not his brother, not his son) telling us at the supporters club that Gazza was in the bag and that he was set to sign for us once he returns to the UK on Monday. He dropped a similar bomb on Shearer a few years after.

So honestly I can't see how the likes of Romano let alone Goldbridge can be so confident about a deal.

I’m watching him thinking to myself how do you really know this? Talking about Pogba is happy Bruno has came and now we have CL. I could sit there and say that,it’s obvious!

Again,I’m sure he must have some connections otherwise we are all being taken for a ride!

I’ve been watching Marks United Stand channel most days, see him say yesterday that he is 9 times out of 10 certain we will be getting sancho.

It was a lot less stressful 20 years ago when you’d just read the paper for the muppetry. Now we just need the click of a button and you can instantly have 10 different stories to run with!

Who said he's desperate/dying to join us? I didn't say that, nor do I think it.

I think he would prefer a return to England, and only 2-3 clubs can realistically afford to make that a reality - City, Chelsea and United. The first two have not entered the race for reasons known only to them, leaving United as his only realistic destination. His choices are limited to say the least.

A side note: bear in mind that this is only my opinion based on secondhand information relayed to us by journalists of... questionable... reliability. Take that as you will.

Do we really need to quote Aubas tweet again? Zorc has proven less reliable than Baron Münchhausen time and time again.
Sure Sancho might end up staying if United decide not to pay up, but the notion that any comments from Dortmund right now are final and that they would turn down the asking price because of some deadline is silly.

It appears he isn't 'desperate' to join us, but it's obviously not 50/50 either. He certainly would prefer to play for us next season over Dortmund but it looks like the preference isn't strong enough for him to cause trouble.

It'a clear now it will come down to the player, if he wants to be here he should commit to us and try force the move. If he doesnt show the desire to join United we should walk away and fill other needs in our squad.

Of course he thinks it will still happen as he does not have a show if he does not spruik his crap about who is coming to our club.

Sancho isn't going to do anything, especially when we haven't even bid for him. He'd be putting his neck on the line with little reassurance that we'll pay up, potentially ruining his relationship with Dortmund and their fans.

Think Ole doesnt want any of our transfer targets to cause trouble anyway, and that is probably communicated to the player.

But he might very well have "a talk" with Dortmund like Maguire did.

It is obvious its off. We are not that type of a club that make our transfer targets agitate for a move. That is why we end up paying the full fee asked by clubs for their players and I cant see us paying the full price asked by that stupid club.

I think it's fair that Dortmund are demanding 120 million euros total, because in a pre Covid economy I would have expected that fee to be in the range of 120-130 million pounds.

Even so, we are within our rights to negotiate a lower initial payout for this year, given that there is massive revenue uncertainty. I feel that we will definitely commit to the 120 million euro fee but the staggered nature of payments will take time to settle.

Also, if we focus some of the Sancho transfer energy on getting a decent fee for the deadwood, then we can make half that fee back, this year itself.

That's fine and understandable but that cuts both ways, why should we push the boat out for someone who doesn't urgently want to play for us?

Ignore him He is so darn confident that Sancho is staying but when I suggested a wager that If we sign him after this so called deadline then he should leave this forum with his nonsense if we don't then I won't post here he didn't even have the courtesy to respond so much for the confidence.
