Jadon Sancho| Staying at Dortmund for now

Bruno all over again. Why are we making this mistake? Bruno was worth every penny and he transformed us and took us to the next level. If we want to get to next level we need Sancho too. A player like that is a difference between us being 2nd tier which we are now and becoming a first tier team perhaps capable of upsetting in the Champions League. Right now we are the kind of a team that can maybe make top 8 in Champions League but dont really stand a chance against the big boys like Barca, Bayern etc. Sancho gets us to that level .

Regardless we also need to upgrade our full backs. One step at a time I guess. We need at least one full back regardless of Sancho.

Eh? No we don't

AWB is a class RB and has transformed our output on the RB position.

Shaw is still a solid defender and we know when he's injured and Williams is a fantastic player, we don't need any new fullbacks.

Our complaints that Dortmund aren't taking Corona into consideration is the most stupid thing we can be telling the press.
Why should Dortmund take Corona into consideration? They aren't willing sellers. Its like a club trying to buy Martial and telling us to consider Corona. It's idiotic.

We clearly need atleast one fullback who doesn't turn to jelly when they're near the opposition box.

The way some posters are posting is just disrespecting. Not only towards BVB but also towards Bundesliga and German football in general. And since a lot of that stuff is just plain wrong, some of us feel like they have something to say about this.

Especially the "BVB is Bayerns feeder" myth over here is ridiculous. They sold 1 player to us over the last decade (Hummels, 1 year contract, we paid well).
They didn't even sell Lewandowski to us with only one year on his contract.

If they were our feeder, the likes of Dembele, Sancho and Haaland would play for us (soon). But i am sure none of them will.

Please do another of your hilarious mock dialogues. You’re great at those, kid.

He better does and let's be honest that's exactly what Dortmund is waiting for so they aren't the bad guys that sold their best project. And if he really wants to join us then that's the way to go. If he doesn't then he probably isn't the right player for us anyway.

I've never undestood people obsesion with defenders. We already have too many, let's focus in another area for a change and, if there's money left, we could add someone as FB.

As I was saying to someone else Daniel Harris rarely ever tweets about transfers so he must have been fairly confident about his source on this one.

I don't know about Romano but he never mentioned the current contract one way or the other, did he? He was saying the clubs are in negotiations and it seems fairly obvious that they are.

Why do we think the United didn't know when Sancho's current contract ends?

It's because everyone was saying he has 2 years left on his contract. Makes 0 difference to us, the price has not changed.

Erm WHAT?
Martial is better at everything but putting the ball in the net to be fair. His link up play, passing and dribbling is far superior.

Haaland though is deadly in front of goal, so there is that. He wouldn't score anywhere near as many goals in our team with the service put it that way.

Why does everything have to be taken so personal? Every neutral piece of information published by a German paper get reactions like "These German bastards are trying to play games with us, who do they think they are, I hate them!!".

Seriously, has anyone actually reacted like this? How much do you think could be ultra sensitivity or paranoia on your part?

How reliable is this guy? He’s the only one that is adamant Sancho will hand a in a reauest
I think he is, but we'll see after this saga. He's a United fan and journalist followed by others and also even Brian McClair!

How has Woodward 'done his best to mess this one up' ?
Harris was reporting yesterday that the middle men between the 2 clubs agreed on a structure for the deal only for Woodward to then veto it and try and lowball it afterwards.

Sancho won't hand in a transfer request, think Daniel Harris is now just doing guessing work. Come on Woody pay or leave, don't let it drag if it's going to affect other signings.

As are you...

Zorc using his routine press meeting to talk about the future of "his" own player is seen as some evil attack on United's dignity.
The same with this tweet, the club's position has been made clear, now people, and of course the press, are wondering whether Sancho really is okay with staying or whether he will act up. It's only natural to post a smiling Sancho, to give fans and media a good feeling about it. The German caption was "so, now eyes shut *tired emoji* I guess to announce that they would call it a day now as far as training and Twitter coverage go.

The world doesn't revolve solely around United, often clubs make Tweets or statements solely with their own public perception in mind.

Nobody has reacted like that. Just that whatever Zorc says now means feck all. Which is the case.

Probably a dumb question but how does handing in a transfer request reduce the price BVB would accept?

I think he'd then veto his share of the transfer fee - So essentially we'd pay less but they'd get the same amount as they'd also get Sancho's loyalty bonus

People keep saying we have good front three. Greenwood is 18, he’ll have drops of form. Rashford is still inconsistent and his performances fluctuate wildly. There’s also injuries and fatigue to account for. And who do we have on the bench? Daniel James?

It’s like United fans are allergic to having a strong team/squad and quality options.
Why do I keep reading this? Put the violin away. I dont see many at all whom are against this transfer, it's just that we have issues with funding it.
We may not be able to afford it, and if so, you'll have to find a mature way to deal with it.

Would you change your mind if Haaland bangs in 50 goals next season? I know it's premature and everything, but "need" is relative. Every team needs better players than they already have, even good teams. I'm not saying Haaland is that just yet, but if he becomes a world beater next season already, there's no doubt in my mind we should be all in for him.

And of course we agree about Sancho. He's the most perfect fit for us I've seen since... forever, I think?

Martial would score more goals in that joke of a league than haaland

Yeah came up on my Twitter Fabrizio has just followed him which is a good sign.

What's the fuzz about "Transfer Requests" anyway? This seems like such a PL thing. Is there some form players can fill in, and then hand it over? Do they carry any legal weight?
I mean we can all assume that Dortmund know Jadon's stance(whatever it might be) on the matter anyway, so what gives?

If he does hand in a transfer request then it'll get done pretty quickly I think.
Sancho has clearly informed BVB informally he wants to go, just has to give up however much in loyalty bonus now. He'll no doubt get a tasty signing on bonus with us, so he's not going to be out of pocket.
I guess we'll see now exactly how much he wants to come to Utd..............

Feeds into what Daniel Harris said yesterday about us agreeing a fee, then agreeing personal terms, then going back to Dortmund with a lower fee.
You guys don't obviously believe that,do you ?

Having an asset at the club that doesn't want to be there and as a result might lose worth it does make a difference yes. Many examples of players not performing to their level at clubs they don't want to be at. Not saying this is the case here but if he wants to joins us this is his way to go.

We are running out of things to say so we will certainly need a transfer request from him to add another 50 pages to this thread and try beat the Pogba one
