The Deal: factors for and against
FOR:
1. Solskjær wants Sancho (It’s more Of the given than the factor but still).
2. Sancho wants to leave BVB. Will not extend the contract.
3. United is the only serious buyer.
4. BVB needs cash.
5. United fully understand that Sancho is the hottest available asset on the market and is willing to pay a good price even in the global crisis.
AGAINST
1. BVB is irrational (risks to lose the player for nothing or peanuts).
2. United is irrational (lowballing, e.g. £50 million bid, take it or leave it).
3. Player is irrational (demanded wage will break the United payroll hierarchy).
4. Agent demands are too high.
5. BVB waiting for United to get desperate (actually it’s not a pure “against“ factor, It’s just United will “overpay” in that case).
6. United doesn’t get desperate. Back to #1 in this list.
Factors “against“ are pure speculations are based on assumptions. I think, this deal ( as any big transfer these days) will drag for a week or so and gets done by 12-13 of Aug. chance of cancelling is 20%. Just an opinion.
