Jadon Sancho| Staying at Dortmund for now

When does our transfer window open and close? August till October?

This looks as good as on to the part now it’s going to be absolutely gutting if we don’t get him. Seems like the only thing left to do now is agree a fee with Dortmund.

Hardly a small matter though.

Got to be honest as much as we all want him ( and we really do) he's acting like a bit of a prat isn't he? Dortmund haven't done much wrong from what I can see and he's had discipline issues with City and now Dortmund. What's he doing liking stuff like that? Not professional at all.

Hope he grows up a bit because he's a terrific player.

No, not really. If he was being a brat it wouldn't make any sense to unlike it. Chances are he's read it and liked it by mistake. Very easy mistake to make.

Hahahahaha of course youd think that. Muppet mode in top gear. What about the sipping the water if you're moving to United video he did. He definitely doesn't do these things by accident.

We wouldn't like it if it was our player doing it. He's Dortmund player after all.

It doesn't put me off wanting him but he does need to grow up a bit. Been fined a few times for being late to training for them too. Not got a squeaky clean record.

Christ you're gullible

I wish it was but I don't think I'd put it past him to do this. Amazing player but doesn't seem the most professional of lads. Had issues at City and now at Dortmund too.

If Pogba had liked a tweet personally of his head being in Turin there would be bedlam. It's okay to like the player and still want to sign him but also admit he's probably out of order doing that kind of stuff.

I'd be disappointed if one of our lads did it.

Are people really taking that ‘sipping water’ thing seriously? I’m sure even the person who wrote ‘sip water if you are joining United’ meant it as a joke. Sancho already had a bottle of water there that he was drinking. That’s why the person made the joke of a comment of ‘sip water if ...’, rather than ‘clap your hands’ or something he wasn’t doing, because he was obviously sipping a bottle of water. Nobody was meant to take it as some sort of confirmation. He might as well have said ‘breathe if you’re going to United’.

And given that thousands of people were on Sancho’s live, it is highly likely the person’s comment didn’t even appear on his screen anyway. All comments can’t appear on the hosts screen either, some lives have hundreds of thousands of people commenting. Everyone will see their own (the person who wrote the comment would see it and be able to screenshot it for example), but the host only sees selected ones, usually prioritised by verified accounts and then in order of who has most followers. Sancho probably never even read the comment, but was obviously going to sip the water regardless, because you know, he had a bottle of water there that he had been intermittently sipping!

Why Pogba, people here love Christiano Ronlado, despite him being an as* last two years with us. So yeah, people will still like him if he will turn out to be world class for us.

With no fans allowed in stadiums how are we going to analyse the way he waves at the fans during the last game of the season?

Seems a stretch to think this is a mistake. Of all the tweets he would be mentioned in on game day, this is the one he accidently likes?
The German league is over, his mind probably is elsewhere.

Even if that wasn't a mistake, it doesn't change anything. We already know that he is keen on joining. Most accounts suggest that it's us refusing to meet Dortmund's valuation and Dortmund refusing to budge that is holding up any progress.

Ole has said that he would rather have holes at the club than a###holes.
He was raving about Marcus being a wonderful human being so it is a big thing for him so Sancho should take note if he wants the club to make a move for him.

he just unliked the Tweet, he is playing games with us the fans or his club.

Nah, probably just gota big ass offer from Chelsea and changed his mind.

I can see this being our only signing this summer after we extended Ighalo’s loan.

So I haven't seen much of him.

He is a right footed Right Winger that can cut in and shoot well like prime Nani?

Nope, doesn’t have the shooting ability of Nani, although is similarly gifted with close control/dribbling. Hazard is the closest player I’d compare him to.

In your mind Hazard is a less skilled shooter than Nani? Really? The Hazard who was sold to Real Madrid last summer? And the inconsistent Nani who had a tough time nailing a starting spot with us throughout his career at Old Trafford, including when Cristiano Ronaldo was sold?

He didn't say that, he said Sancho is less skilled than a prime-Nani when it comes to shooting. Then he went on to say that Sancho has similar dribbling/close control as Nani.

He said if he was to compare his style with anyone (Sacho) it would be with Hazard.

Out of interest, what is your answer for our RW? An inverted winger clogs up the centre even more and is more reliant on an overlapping RW. I'd say with the threat across the pitch, Rashford, Pogba, Bruno and hopefully Sancho, if opposition try to double team anyone of them, as long as we move the ball quickly, we should be okay.

We need an inverted winger that operates in the inside right, this isn't the same space that Martial, Rashford, Bruno operate in.

And for this reason a left footed player is more suited, not only for situations like cutting in but also when this player would be required to hold onto the ball on the right channel then moves to the central positions....similar to the way that Salah initates their attacking transitions for Liverpool on the right side.

A right footed player will find it much harder to do this when they won't be given much space in the PL in comparison to Bundesliga

I would leave the right wing to our FB for overlapping and putting crosses in since the opposition will defend in numbers in the central positions.

Our right full back is AWB though so that's just mental. He's a brilliant defender but he's very very ordinary on the ball.

If we had Doherty or Trent you'd have more of a case. We don't though. We chose to buy a defensive specialist rather than an attacking fullback.

Sancho I feel will come but I just didn't think we'd be able to get it done this year due to everything going on. Who knows what will happen. Will love it if I'm wrong and we do get him this summer but we will need to find 100m from somewhere.

The cnut is playing with our hearts.

Yes.

AWB attacking game will improve which he has already throughout the season, yes I agree he's not in the elite level but it's also worth pointing out that that he doesn't normally get much space in that right side due to Dan James, it's no coincidence that he plays better with Greenwood.

I don't think he will ever be elite mate. He's elite defensively but he's a long way off with the ball at his feet.

I think there's at least 6 or 7 better right backs in the PL alone in the offensive side of the role.

I didn't say he will ever become elite level but I don't think we should underestimate how much he could improve, both G Neville or most recently Robertson didn't have the attacking abilities in their early careers and look how they have turned out.

I guess time will tell as he's only been with us for less than a year playing without a proper right sided forward/winger.

I agree with most of what you're saying. But what I would say is whenever I've seen Sancho play on the right, he plays in the areas an inverted winger would. His control is dribbling is excellent enough that he can play on the right but come inside as well. It doesn't have to be as simple as left footed right wing, right footed left wing.

Sancho isn't the type of winger to go on the outside everytime.

How many are better than him defensively though?

Exactly. Which is why I don't get the moaning about a young player. Getting the defensive aspects of your game is much more difficult than developing going forward. I'm very happy with wan Bissaka
AWB has the tools to develop offensively. He's a good dribbler and pacey. He just needs to be coached effectively
