I could live with this

Much depends on what Sancho wants. If he's open to going to multiple clubs, then Dortmund can start a bidding war and drive up the price. On the other hand, if he's set on going to a specific club, Dortmund can only hold out for so much. Next summer they'll have even less leverage, and if sancho is upset at not getting sold, he could poison the locker room.

Who will bid for him?

I hope not Liverpool!

One good thing is , not many clubs will blow 140m on one player. Means, we will mostly have a straight run unless Real or PSG makes a last attempt

Himself and Grealish should be our top priorities this summer.

Then if Pogba goes will need a few other top players

I'd like Sancho to have a free central role if he comes here - let him make runs wide both left and right & provide width from both sides.

Be useful from both left and the right.

A bit how Lingard made those intelligent runs but could never pull off the finishing aspects when required.

Let Rashford cut in & Sancho goes out wide. Let Greenwood cut in & Sancho goes out wide.

I worry if we stick him solely as a RW he may be a 120 mil Willian in the Premier League when he can play across the whole of our front line instead. But of course I could be wrong.

Real Madrid, PSG and Liverpool have also been linked (as have Chelsea, although that must now be less likely).

We will surely need to qualify for next season's Champions League, to have any chance of landing the player.

I can see Real getting Mbappe and PSG turning to Sancho to be fair.

Offering CL football is overstated when it comes to buying players, it’s not that big of a deal. Liverpool were able to build a good squad while not in CL.

According to the BBC, Sancho ruled out an impending move to United last summer, when it became clear we would not be playing CL football. His priorities might have changed in the last 10 months, but if we are up against PSG/Liverpool/Real Madrid for his signature, we better make sure we can offer top level football to him.

Why would he go to Pool / City and be a backup to Salah / Mahrez / B. Silva? Maybe you can argue he can play himself into the City lineup but I don't think he'll be replacing either Salah / Mane for Pool.

PSG (if Mbappe leaves) makes the most sense, but again, they haven't really won the CL with their strongest team. Neymar's career has gone downhill since going there. It's a big fish in small pond kind of situation, I don't think any ambitious player would want to go there at this point. He's also english, so the PL is an additional draw.

I think Chelsea might be a bigger contender for this transfer than Pool (CL football, London, great english core with CHO, Abraham, Mount etc.). I hope we blow them out of the water when it comes to financials and that'll give us the advantage?

Sancho, Werner and Soumare. Keep Pogba and Ole. One can dream..

This is going to be one of those long threads, isn't it?

Not sure i can take one more... :nervous:

Just spunk £120m to Dortmund today and announce Poch and Grealish will be joining him. Then we can have some long awaited hope

Obviously if we get him, it’ll be funded by Pogba

Sky Germany talk so much crap, I'm sure we're interested obviously, but there's a reason they're using our name, its great for clicks.
Sky Germany are a pretty crap source but I'd personally pay more attention to what Matt Law said in his latest piece.

Chelsea looked like a likely destination. But then they agreed a deal for a different right-sided attacker (with reports suggesting that they had been priced out of the Sancho deal). I don't see Ziyech and Sancho in the same side next season.

Yeah he's generally pretty good, especially with Chelsea matters isn't he. Or am I confusing him with someone else.
He's probably the best source for Chelsea. And he said yesterday that Chelsea were looking at the cheaper alternative to Sancho in ziyech due to strong interest from the likes of Manchester United.

To be fair, it's hardly news that we're keen on him, everyone and their mother knows at this point. I'm more interested on whether he's keen on us.

It's been reported that he's open to a move to United by Ornstein and afew other well respected Journos.
