Jadon Sancho| Staying at Dortmund for now

Neville hasn’t said anything particularly outrageous as far as I’m aware. I will never be in favor of physically terrorizing a man and his family for anything related to football. That’s madness.

That being said, if this story of him having increased security is legit, then surely that means the club aren’t completely oblivious to the fact that the fans are very, very angry right now, and that what has transpired this transfer window has simply been not enough. Considering the way our club seems to be so oblivious to the feelings of their fanbase a lot of the time, on some level this is a good thing I suppose.

In which case the problem becomes not realising that Dortmund weren't going to sell for the price we wanted and moving on. Because as you say, we're millions apart, not pennys. There's a reason other clubs aren't in for Sancho and that's because they realised they couldn't afford to pay what he would cost. Why didn't we have that same realisation?

Negotiating the price is part of their job. But so is targeting players we can actually afford and knowing when it is time to move to another target. As it stands it seems they've botched another summer on those grounds.

There's no point in targeting top players if your assessment of what they will sell for is so far below the selling club's assessment, because ultimately it's the selling club who allow the deal to happen. With no real need to sell on Dortmund's part, their valuation was always the more important one. Which makes this whole summer pursuit a waste of time.
I feel you and you're kinda right, but it's a bit odd for fans to complain the club is after their no1 player and it's taking too long. We could've been after fecking Perisic.

Really frustrated.
Sancho was the guy who was going to solve our RW issue.
Damnit!

You just know all the "Happy Sancho day" people are going to start boring on about the Jan window immediately after this one shuts.

Yep. Those guys are deluded.
They did the same with Griezmann - when he snubbed us in the Summer, they were absolutely sure that he'd arrive in January. They were so sure that they were delving into the release clause which was added to his contract in the Summer.

But who really does that? Was there even one troll who signed up to the caf to post in this thread? People are so desperate about Sancho they rather create this cringy conspiracy about every German poster somehow colluding against them, because apparently that's easier than to argue with or even just ignore constructive posts that go against the twitter clickbait frenzy.
I’m not saying everyone of course, most of these fans are level headed. And no one comes out directly and trolls as is. It’s more passive aggressive type of posts. I mean, I honestly don’t see why some of them keep posting this won’t happen and argue with everyone on here.

one post saying this won’t happen? Sure. 10 posts saying the same thing and arguing with posters (some of who themselves tell that it’s more hope than anything) for a player who doesn’t belong in your club? That’s just weird.

Main silver lining from the disappointing window has to be more and more light being shined on how appallingly ran we really are. Even better when it's coming from the likes of club legends like Rio, Neville and Evra.

It's about damn time those leeches in suits started feeling some public pressure for turning a proud club into a rich mans Arsenal

I don't believe that Fildvet guy, I remember him saying Man United were confident of Sancho starting against Palace. Looks like a fraud tbh.

Evra is one of us (if you can ignore all his Covid shit).
I love Evra. He speaks like a true fan and wears his heart on his sleeve.

Yes he comes out with some absolute bullshit about stuff in general, but so do I. We all have a bit of nonsense we come out with.

I love the fact Neville is a co-commentator and one of the main pundits. Because he will continuously go on about how poorly the club is run which is a positive thing.

They wanted 108M by Aug10 and we didnt pay but ready to pay almost that amount but now Dortmund dont like to do Business this late.

This shows our ineptness to be honest. Did we get price reduction anytime by playing long waiting game ?

If we have alternatives and go to our plan-B few times then teams would fear but they know we almost pay to our targets in the end so why they sell for less initially ?

Ed Woodward and Co. are truly a disgusting lot. That's it then, Greenwood and Mata on the right. Laughable.

Don’t forget Messi Lingard he’ll be getting his fair share of starts now too.

it’s a total and utter shambles.

I think are always going to be those types of examples but I expect there as many if not more of ones which worked. Off the top of my head and Utd related
Roy Keane
Rio Ferdinand
Ruud Van Nistelrooy
Robin Van Persie
Ronaldo to Real.

Anyone with a name starting with a R by the looks of it too.

Quick Ed - new transfer strategy.
None of those was a megathread in here, not that you would know.

Ronaldo "only god knows" did rage for months though. Bad outcome too.

Oh right, how could I forget that. We are truly shambolic when it comes to transfers. VDB was a nice surprise but overall this is NOT acceptable, NOT good enough for this club. OUR CLUB!

You having a breakdown?

If we lose today, this place is going to be insufferable.
If that happens I am staying away from here for at least a week. It will be poisonous but the club have somehow brought it on themselves. So unnecessary after the positive vibes from finishing 3rd.

I hope the amount of hubris Dortmund have thrown around in this saga comes to bite them in the ass sooner than later.
