Hes absolutely terrible. Just an awful player - I really hope chelsea dont back out because nobody else is spending 25 million on him
We don't really though? Madueke is just coming back from injury, Mudryk is banned, and Tyrique George is still effectively a youth player.I have noticed he still starts most games for Chelsea. Considering they have a lot of wingers/ wide players. The manager must like him. I think as long as Maresca stays he still goes and we get the money . Big problem could be if he is sacked they might pay the fine or penalty
Maresca should be safe if Chelsea qualify for CL. But it won't be easy with Newcastle, Villa and possibly few other clubs in the race.I have noticed he still starts most games for Chelsea. Or it doesn't say a whole lot about the other players. At the end of the day he started another big game for them. And they’ve got about a 100 other players in their squad they could have picked ahead of him. I don’t rate him myself but I’m not seeing much evidence that he isn’t rated at Chelsea.
Surprisingly daft and reductive from you.At the end of the day he started another big game for them. And they’ve got about a 100 other players in their squad they could have picked ahead of him. I don’t rate him myself but I’m not seeing much evidence that he isn’t rated at Chelsea.
On a bright side his contract expires in 2026, so would mean one loan left before he's gone (unfortunately on free). That or selling him for 15m or something this summer. But let's see what Chelsea decide first. He's just so lacking physically and mentally at this level of football. I still believe Antony's work rate makes him a slightly better player.
I can only see us endlessly sending him out on loan until his contract runs out.
Do we have to?Imagine a front three of Grealish Zirkzee and Sancho
He's playing like an 80k a week player, tops. You guys think he'd accept that?
But he's gonna make 200k a week with you. Even if he finds a club at 60k a week afterwards, he'd make more money that wayHe has another year on the Manchester United gravy train, and will be lucky to get even 80k anywhere once his contract with us is over.
Surprisingly daft and reductive from you.
I learned a new word today. Not sure I’ve seen a more pusillanimous player in the adult game. He has no appetite for football.
Rumours of attitude problems have followed him his whole career. We're still a badly run club but I don't think we'd sign him today, we were just hopelessly naïve and inept back when we did.Not sure I’ve seen a more pusillanimous player in the adult game. He has no appetite for football.
I thought it was 2028 for some reason, fair enough I guess we won't be seeing much more of him thankfully. Free transfer to Dortmund in 2026 would be my prediction, what a blinder they pulled. On a bright side his contract expires in 2026, so would mean one loan left before he's gone (unfortunately on free). We could have a front 3 of Sancho Zirkzee and Garnacho at some stage next seasonImagine a front three of Grealish Zirkzee and Sancho

Getting the ball in a lot of dangerous posiitons, dribbles forward 5 yards with the defender retreating and 75% of the time, he turns back and plays it backwards. The other 25%, he comes inside on his right foot, easy to read and gets crowded out. Throws his hands in the air, rinse and repeat.
Is that any worse than a front 3 of Garnacho, Hojlund and Zirkzee?
I feel like I've roughly spent ten years watching this kind of performance from varying wingers and forwards at the club. So, so, so sick of it.
But isn't some part of it down to evolvement of tactics in general? Teams get better tactically and physically and therefore less open and more compact, making it harder to break them down and isolate wingers in a 1-on-1 situation against a fullback. Only teams who are very astute tactically or rely heavy on a counterattacking approach has a way around it.
Not often but sometimes Dortmund played exactly Amorim's current system with Sancho in that role. So that's the only tactical role during Sancho's United career that he really fulfillfed before in Dortmund.Ironically if he was the same player he was then he'd be a great option for one of Amorim's 10 positions.
Yeah. Could've left better impression if he scored but good save from Vicario.I was at Stamford Bridge yesterday. Sancho had so many chances, the ball in so many good places. He just insists on running into defenders. Even when he gets past one or two he has no decision making capability to speak of. Just awful. Don't want him back. Maresca should have subbed him off at half time
You should never even throw out the possibility that it was mental illness, because there is no evidence that it was the case. This is exactly the point I was making by suggesting it could be punishment for bad behavior, again, something just invented out of whole cloth because no one knows the truth. But implying mental illness suggests sancho is in the right, suggesting punishment suggests he was in the wrong, you only seem to have an issue with hypothetical when it doesn't suit your desired outcome. No I didn't, you'd need to read that post again mate. I didn't invent the idea Sanco went to Holland for mental health issues nor did I claim that was definitely the reason. I actually offered up several possibilities, much like yourself.
Yeah my last post really came across as protecting Sancho.
You are right there his English isn't great. Maybe he should have spent more of the 2+ years he lived in England working to improve it.
That team is heading straight to relegation. They ain't scoring more than 20 goals all season and I'm being generous in my assessment.Imagine a front three of Grealish Zirkzee and Sancho

Watched the second half of Brentford-Chelsea.
Genuinely didn't realise Sancho was still on the pitch until he was fouled on the 83rd minute. Thought he'd gone off with Madueke on the hour mark.
Completely non-existent when Chelsea needed a spark in the second half.
