Unbelievable how all this has turned out. We pretty much all thought adding Sancho to the Rashford-Martial-Greenwood attack would have us set for years. Imagine an attack of Rashford, Martial and Sancho now, would be Mannequin FC
I was convinced Sancho and Greemwood would be our modern day answer to Rooney and Ronaldo when they came in. Two young forwards who drive United on to success. There’s almost exactly the same age gap between both pairs too.

Shame what’s happened. Hopefully Hojlund and Garnacho can right their wrongs

Given his wages he won't be going anywhere this summer on the back of a poor showing at Dortmund. So the new manager will have to get something out of him next season or send him out on loan again.

City had agreed a new deal with him though, pep wanted to keep him. He left them against their wishes
In any case, they dodged a bullet. This guy looks like he is carrying a belly. Those late-night Domino’s pizzas whilst playing his PlayStation aren’t helping obviously.

Looking at the highlights, tbh put Jadon in a United shirt and that looks like one of his best games haha.

Dortmund should be more grateful! he turned up and attempted to get past his marker!...those were very rare treats for United fans.

I'm assuming he must have been really bad in his overall game or other involvements because these highlights actually look quite decent?! Good passing, decision making and even a few penetration dribbles. I mean my bar is pretty low but it's not what I was expecting for the lowest rated player on the pitch.

same, i was expecting to see a load of blunders

Seen some of the clips from the game, few dodgy step overs and tricks that didn’t come off but still got a decent rating in the game and wasn’t the worst one in the team. I do agree he’s overhyped and worth no where near his fee and wages command and will be happen to see him leave in the summer, just don’t see anyone buying.

The intensity of Garnacho and Rasmus compared to Greenwood, Sancho, Rashford and Martial is night and day. it’s clear for all to see. We could do with the same kind of intensity in the positions we keep losing to injury. CM LB CB and backup striker. I hope the day of overpaid overhyped languid players at United is over. It’s been so annoying watching teams like West Ham, Wolves, Palace, Newcastle, Forrest outwork us over the last few years. It’s a new low.

It is shocking really. I had such high hopes for that - what turned out to be - bag of absolute shite.

7 games, 1 crap assist and a host of rubbish. Just getting that in here before the inevitable loss of context and meltdown when he eventually scores.

The positive of some sort of form would be getting a half decent fee for him, but would be glad to never see him at united again.
My prediction

Me as well, I though Rashford, Martial, Greenwood and Sancho was two steps away from taking Oleball into the future (maybe). It wasn’t certain, but it felt like it could in no way go entirely tits up.

Shows what I can predict.

In fairness, Oleball was better than whatever we are playing at these days. It wasn't even Oleball that went tits up, just the vibes.

These days are hard to ignore. But I liked how we played much of last year, so I’m not despairing too much. But I do get exasperated/fecked in the head looking at how some of the players handle their opportunities.

How dare german media said that. Even his own boss that employs him legally and pays loads of money isnt allowed to talk shit about Jadon Sancho, the best football player forever only needing love and flexible work schedule.

The dressing culture was (is) poor. Rooney spoke in Rio’s podcast about Lingard, Pogba all dancing barely 24 hours after a defeat to Liverpool. We sign over-rated players and then struggle to sell them.

that’s why a director of football is vital for us.

I've seen his highlights from match against Hoffenheim and he didn't play bad. He dribbled past opposition a few times and had some nice through balls from which his teammates should do better.

He's a rotten person and football player. Along with Rashford he should be priority to remove from the club at any price. Sorting the culture and work ethic at this club is absolutely vital if we're to ever be successful again, and players like him are the antithesis of it

Wait happy at home and glad to be back Sancho not having any desire to run or putting in any hard work in Germany. Well who would have thought?

It was actually a pretty decent game by him. Most dribbles won of all players and 3 key passes in 75 minutes. His work rate isn't bad either. He runs >11 km per 90 minutes on average (though he's rarely played full 90s so far).

Dortmund is still crap. That can be held against him since he hasn't lifted them up a level so far but also for him since the last time he played in the Bundesliga was for a much better team.

Well, that's just not true. He covered almost as much ground as Donyell Malen on the other wing, but Sancho played only 74 minutes, Malen the whole match. So Sancho definitely puts in a shift and tries stuff, his issue currently really isn't workrate or desire, but that he at the moment not really clicks with the team. He tries and works actually quite well.

And this posting above that "German media called him the worst player on the pitch" is a bit over the top, as not every media outlet did so. For example kicker rated five Dortmund players better, three worse and two on par with him. So right in the middle and not outstanding in any way, neither negative nor positive.

Still I think a lot of people in Dortmund hoped for more from him, and considering the status he had he should be able to deliver more.

I think the situation in Dortmund is actually quite similar to the one he found at United. Sancho is a player who excels when there is movement and fluidity but Dortmund right now is a very static and direct team. I think it's no coincidence that their only in form player is Malen who is very fast and able to fend off defenders physically. Subtle players don't thrive in this BVB squad right now.

They definitely need a few technical midfielders, IMO. Letting Dahoud go was understandable because of his injury record but not replacing him was idiotic. Their current roster of midfielders are so one dimensional and terrible at ball progression and pressing resistance.

100%. I can accept occasional sub-standard performances from any player but lack of effort infuriates me and those two are the prime examples of that in the squad.

So he is a willing jogger no way this was high intensity milage.

I really hope this club is serious about making wholesale changes under new ownership. My biggest fear is we'll sack Ten Hag and Sancho and others will be given a chance under a new manager and we'll repeat the same mistakes we've made in the past.

Whether Ten Hag stays or not, a player who essentially went on strike because the manager dared question his work ethic and refused to apologize (whether he meant it or not) when he could've walked into the team when Antony was dealing with his allegations is someone who should be shipped out immediately.
